… Yes there was a bid approach from private equity for Big Yellow last year. It came to nothing but who says that they won’t look elsewhere.. When the bid happened SAFE rose to about £7.60 so they’ve fallen a fair bit.

Fair value?

On a PER around 14 so not expensive but not exactly a bargain against the back drop of Iran and the domestic economic issues at home.

Always frustrating when a company posts great results but after week or so you have to watch the share price fall below the price on results day.

I guess we patience is the key here

Is a dividend forecast Karv?

The divi was cancelled the other year I believe and I wasn’t aware that broker forecasts (for the next 2 years) were showing the divi being reinstated. Is this wrong?

We may get some clarity (at this weeks AGM) of the impact that the government proposals will have on the bottom line.

The shorts have realty got a hold of this and with no dividend to have to cover they’re probably not in a rush to buy back.

The News comment here explains the drop this morning. So basically the government is increasing the tax take, is how I read it. Perhaps we should wait for an rns from AEP to understand more.

The share price movement implies the market is cautious, unless, the slippage is down to Iran / climbing costs.
