The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I think these and LAS would have risen more is the dividend had been higher. 10p on 100p eps is nothing to get excited about.
Surprising that LAS are down slightly.
I believe that last years results were on this date so it’s going to be anytime soon. Perhaps tomorrow?
Hi Edward, yes, if you have 19,700 (approx) Las shares then you have a stake in 1000 BISI shares. So approx 1000 shares bought in BISI would cost you around £3600 and 19,700 LAS shares around £5000. BISI pays a divi, LAS doesn’t, at the moment.
I’m hoping it’ll be next week and before, or, on the same day as LAS. As LAS have a large percentage of Bisichi shares I’d like BISI to update the market first or on the same day.
I’ve made another small purchase here today, this time for my daughters child ISA. I’m trying to make her wealthy so she spent lots of money on me in a few years time - which would basically be the opposite to how things usually are!
Tim, I will purchase a few more here if I can get some on a down day. You could say that in BISI London Associated have a guardian angel! Any special divi’s will be very beneficial to LAS’s balance sheet.
I took a small position here yesterday in anticipation of stellar results from BISI later in the month. I believe LAS’s results are due this month too.
I tried to buy a few more yesterday but they are tricky to buy. The ask was showing 250p bit my limit order wasn’t filled. Very annoying!
…wow, £14M is a huge increase. It’ll be interesting to see what this does to LAS too. I think LAS could be big beneficiaries of BISI distributing special divis (if they go down this route) as there 4.4M of BISI shares will give them a great cash boost.
