Most of my builders are from Poland, Ukraine, Latvia, South Africa, and other countries. About 90% of them are foreign workers. The quality of the work they do is amazing.

In comparison, I sometimes struggle with English builders —,some seem unable to focus properly, or they look for reasons to call something a “day’s job” and then find ways to charge clients even more. The foreign builders come in, do the job ten times better, and cause zero hassle. Skilled immigrants are a great asset.

However, I am against people arriving illegally by boat with no skills or experience and then relying on benefits, which costs the country billions of pounds. That is how I see the situation.

The most disappointing stocks right now have to be the housing stocks. The £39 billion injection into housing seems to have gone completely unheard or simply ignored,by investors. This is the biggest investment so far compared to other sectors, even defence. So why aren’t housing stocks picking up? They should have doubled by now.
