Morning Basher, you're up bright and early. Last post does have some truths however you have to admit BT does make a profit. Slightly down on previous years but still a large profit. It also has a millstone around its neck in the form of OFCOM whom seem to delight in loading BT with litigation and fines. OFCOM do not seem to go after other offenders with the same vigour choosing the easy target BT. Mistake BT make is not fighting every attack by ofcom, make them pay. The supreme leader of wokeness the BBC is never in ofcoms sights even though its now an embarrassment. Again I do not think a bid will come but who knows. may the fibre be up OFCOM.

I can not see a bid ever coming. What I do see is BT slowly recovering, divi increasing as interest rates fall, SP rising to past levels as costs reduce and the CWU working well with BT management. Phatkatzout, SOM was confrontational, abusive, and prone to rants and rages. He felt free to through insults at all including me. But I am no worse off because of his ramblings, taking them with a pinch of salt. But the board is a lot quieter/ duller without his character. He was sometimes funny without meaning to be. The angrier he got the more I laughed.

Anyhow I wish him no harm. I hope he is looking forward to BT`s slow rise and recovery like I am, we all are. (Apart from shorters who I could not care less about)

I do believe BT has finally turned a corner and as building fiber eases and costs reduce I think BT will grow SP and become a steady divi payer again. Patience will be key and rewarded. At least the Tories have the excuse of a very nasty war in Ukraine and a global pandemic for the economy being a mess. Agreed its a mess. But Brown could not balance the books in good times. Selling half our gold at its cheapest price for decades. Destroying company pension schemes, mine included. letting council tax run riot. Giving pensioners a 89p a week rise, remember that? leaving the country near bankrupt. ( He had a good teacher though.
