I do Remember last year NervousNelly, I think initial fall was about 25p then steady fall by about 50p. Probably get a better feeling near ex divi date ie interest rates, inflation and economy. I am trying to move more shares into an ISA so more tax efficient. With lgen`s yield I am constantly surprised its not trading over £3. There is nothing to dislike I can find about this company. Have a good weekend and same to all.
You are right SOM, OFCOM have a lot to answer for BT`s problems. If a divi is stopped I hope TAX paid to gov is also stopped. Hope new CEO has some bottle. However I bought BT shares and am 103p under water ATM. The purchase of BT shares was nobody's fault but my own.
Its a real catch 22 SOM, Bid or no bid. May I suggest Its you who tends to get angry here. If I agree a bid is coming and it does not I was wrong. If I say a bid is not coming and it does come I was wrong again. The thing is nobody knows. To keep brow beating people here is a dead end and as people clam up we learn nothing. You will not change anything attacking the CWU. Do not think of them if it winds you up.
Keep calm SOM and don`t forget to have a good weekend yourself.
Morning Sidi, robleo, and all. had a question but last nights posts have near answered it. I am thinking of selling lgen shares pre x divi date and buying back into ISA after. This is if it follows last years pattern. Any thoughts appreciated.
Morning SOM, AbjectPerformer was being pretty reasonable there. His point is good, less confrontation and more accepting others views even though they differ from yours. The thing is nobody knows if a bid will ever come. I wouldn't hold your breath. Attacking the CWU will produce nothing here. I doubt they read here.
Morning SOM, As I live about 95 miles from Whitby I usually drive within the day. Go out sea fishing on 12hr trip usually. I stayed in a B+B on north side of harbour which was very nice but 30years ago. I will google Whitby stays later. If you are traveling about there is also Robin hoods bay to look at. I have walked from Whitby to Robin hoods bay then got bus back. Beautiful. Helmsley is also worth a visit especially on steam gathering weekend. BT shares will be about 180p by then. If not I will buy you a beer. That's from a Yorkshireman doubleon t onda ( two up on a honda )
Yeah SOM, a walk on the moors would be good. Ill put a good word in for you with Dolly. I will take you to a good pub where you eat inside and use loos outside. Seems logical. GL.
Mandy, morning. First I thought I had answered your question. Another go- I do not care if there is a bid or not. No preference at all. I will not let it rule my life. A walk on the frosty Yorkshire moors is more important.
Second- you are developing a sense of humour, brilliant, " outside toilets in Yorkshire". That's good banter. Can not say anything about Essex, never heard of it. 8-))
I do really hope you have mellowed Mandy. I will again state why a bid will not come. First and foremost is security. I can't see gov allowing a foreign entity holding more than 51%. Second who would bid? Other people have their own problems, look at Dragi. Don't hold your breath for a bid. I too are in red with BT but I will just enjoy divi and not let it rule my life.
Don't get in trouble here again then you maybe allowed to visit beautiful Yorkshire 8-))
Mandy, slowly coming to the conclusion you are to blinkered to help or swap opinions with. It is you who starts with the "personal abuse" by the way. Trying to get holders here to submit demands for a bid is borderline madness. Now who,s dreaming. Will filter you should your nonsense continue.
Yes you are being confrontational. Please state how your constant raging's will change the SP? Does attacking others help you in any way? Will you get a bid by alienating peeps here. If I test your Patience then so be it.
