LTI , I am now out of Lloyds and reduced my holdings of all banks. I find their promises distasteful and divi`s the poorest of any shares I have held. Your loyalty while admirable will not be rewarded eg. 2019 divi. gl whatever.

Do you know the story of the King who had an invisible coat of gold made? Promises of when it was finished he would be able to see it? I think the moral of the story applies to Lloyds very nicely.

LTI, tell me where you think LLoyds have behaved honourably to share holders over the last decade. Regards.

Been following lloy for over a decade and come to the conclusion they will never reward patience / trust from share holders. LGEN among others are far better options for those seeking a good steady divi. Don`t let Lloyds abuse your trust anymore imho. GL all sufferers.

The problem with lloy buy backs is the bank is issuing new shares to dish out to directors and upper management.

Reducer, I feel for you. There are lots of people out there that have had their trust in banks scorned. LLoyds is no different. More jam tomorrow is their mantra. Stingy, dishonest, are to nice a words to describe them. Greedy self-serving gutter snipes is nearer the mark.
I will not touch financials again. A decade of fork tonged promises whilst awarding themselves eye watering bonuses has cured me of involvement. There are lots of better alternatives for people seeking good dividends. IMHO banks are dogs, not to be trusted and avoided. GL with your endeavours.

Don`t think they will have to. Ukraine will be no push over. They are now armed to the teeth with some very sophisticated weaponry. Russia will lose a lot of aircraft / tanks should it invade. Like Afghanistan the west will then continue to arm the resistance. Russia is going to get bogged down. The loss of many young lives is horrific though.
Long term Europe realises that Russian gas is now a tool of blackmail. SMR`s will be developed quicker now by the west ( good for RR in the uk) Germany may need to rethink its non nuclear policies.
Sincerely hope it does not lead to war. But you can not appease bullies.

Hi JTT, not sure it is that simplistic. Crimea has already been annexed. Ukraine is a sovereign country and has the right to self determination. I would be happy if they did not join NATO but again it is their choice. Putin feels free to send huge bombers down the north sea. Is this not provocation? Nobody in their right mind wants war so bodes the question, is Putin in his right mind? History tells us appeasement never works. Heaven forbid it turns hostile but bullies need standing up to.

Yep trust in governments is at an all time low. However appeasement did not work last century when a mad man started invading his neighbours. Just a thought GL.

Hi Clued, have just done that, 281p with gov`s bit. Half bought now keeping some back in case of further lows today. Will have another look at 2.30pm. (USA open) Feel confident here as long as Ruskies don`t bu33er it up GL.

Hovering over buy button again. However will this drop a bit more when USA opens? Is it American inflation that`s causing todays fall? Thoughts appreciated.

Watching keenly atm. looking at 280ish. Finger keeps drifting over button. Not a day trader at all. looking for steady long term growth with decent divi. BT also held as their divi will resume in time starting low. Avoid the financials like the plague, so disappointing banks and I am done with them.

Looking to start investing in LGEN. Been watching for a while and wanting a stock that is relatively safe with decent divi returns. May I ask when divi`s are to be resumed? and future yield. Don`t mind a bit of guessology, thoughts appreciated.
