Have just noticed your post from Saturday.
Volition are working in the liquid biopsy field but they are developing a system to capture circulating nucleosomes. These are fragments of DNA and proteins released from dying cells into the blood. Angle's Parsortix system captures whole, live tumour cells which have broken away and are circulating in the blood. As you can imagine, more information can be taken from a whole, live cell and they also can be grown in the lab.
I'm sure both systems will ultimately find their place and be successful, but to answer your question, no, they are not in direct competition with Angle.
