Hi All I don’t know if any of you have read there trading statement, very interesting especially for us trades.
Basically they are saying labour and materials costs have gone up and there is a shortage of labour!
They are basically saying profits will be down.
I believe they are down south and high end houses!
Anyway something to muse over ( pay rises coming) :)))))

No probs I first traded this at about 4p when Bamps and Tom told me about it and I told them then I hated Aim shares because of all the pump and dump Bs .
So when I earnt enough trading it I ran .
Bit silly now but hey there’s enough money out there for all, I’m a bricklayer and I know about HB’s and that’s me .
But when I spoke to Bamps at around 27p he said it’s not to late .
He has been right about everything else on this and sometimes it is better to trust someone else’s knowledge.
Anyway all’s well that ends well!

I do think it will be a good share that’s why I finally did follow your advice and invested quite heavily in this , you know more than me about mining.
Does what my nephew say sound about right, he says it’s a good bit of dirt and says it could be great.
But there will be a big initial expense.

Floater who made you up , I was just passing honest advice and as for the funding he reckons you will be drilling half a mile down and it could cost one to two billion dollars!
Have we the funding for that gob****e.
I didn’t realise you know everything!

I was speaking to my missus nephew ( who is in the mining sector in Oz) and he has told me this could be a great investment long term.
But asked if we had the funding for mining or the backing, if so it would be good!
He also said newcrest might be a bit wary of partnerships,after solgold 2016-2017 .
What went wrong there?

Thank you all for your responses,if this carries on like this for the year should see around the 15000 ish build.
So divi should increase for next year.
I can’t see the national build rate increasing as labour shortage, so demand should outstrip supply.
Just my opinion of course but thanks all for the responses

Persimmons didn’t really close in the first lockdown, Vty opened up quite quickly as well.
Bellway closed for the full three months around east mids, I believe redrow done the same , not sure about wimps but looking at completions looks about the same.
Scary thing is everyone has been flat out since and we couldn’t catch up , trade shortages.
Good for us tradesmen but not for shareholders.

Tomorrow is Vty results and I think these will also be good, so hopefully another rise :))

Had a feeling about the EV charging points, I wonder if they will put that down as an extra.
Apart from that not bad results considering!
I am sure somebody called me out and said they already had charging points, but hey ho .

Should be a nice week, trading statements should be good and return of divi.
Also looks like the government will back construction,so any down turn and they will help out,so in my view HB shares are going to be a great share for 2021!

There was talk of helping the first time buyers with mortgages due to the mortgage lenders lending more to people who had bigger deposits ie people upgrading houses and people moving from city to country.
It was quite big news before Christmas, so they said they were going to try to sort something out for first time buyers.
I believe so might be wrong.
I still believe they might see if HB’s can stand on there own, if sales go down then they might do something,
Just my opinion and always open to views

Site hut chat and the best we can come up with is !
If the houses keep selling government will not extend stamp duty holiday.
Secondly there should be a new scheme for first time buyers!
Thirdly if houses stop selling they will either bring back stamp duty holiday or a big HA building scheme will go ahead!
Just our view and HB’s are a good share to be in !
