Affirmers are antibody memetics, which have been specifically engineered to improve on the characteristics of monoclonal anitbodies (MAb's) - they are smaller, cheaper to produce, have greater temperature/PH stability and can be more finely tuned towards their target, making them more accurate. The other big advantage over MAb's is that Affirmers are much more consistent from production batch to batch, which is a major issue with existing MAb platforms.

I agree Always Whining is ****ing annoying with the constant negativity, but whilst I am also skeptical of the voodoo, Bottmzup has a point - until there is any solid news to move the price, technical analysis is a useful indicator; if nothing else because half the other people in the market are using it...

Always Whining - by your own statement, if we get to market in September (as widely expected), we will still be several months ahead of the competition. This sounds ideal: the winter cold & flu season will be the period of peak demand, and we will be the only salvia-based rapid LFT on the market.

mmm 140,000+ buys showing in those last 20 minutes on IG; it moved the price 6 pence so i'd say that's fairly strong!

Out of interest, what do you expect him to follow yesterday's comment that the drop is "absurd" with? Presumably his view hasn't changed, so it still stands? Do you want him to give minute by minute commentary on the share price?

Have said this before but strong buying into the close fairly frequently has signalled an RNS due the next day; plus I think we have a habit of letting them go on a Wednesday so fingers crossed!

I'm only nervous about this mornings drop as my spread bets are underwater, but as a long term holder I couldn't care less - the price in three years is my interest here, and suffice to say, it will not be in the £1.60-£2.00 range... Wild to see people this AM claiming Avacta has only limited upside from this point!

Even for short term holders, the next 4-6 weeks will be transformational..

Seems like a good entry/top up point at this stage though so hopefully picks up from here

Price briefly flashed up to 193 when the closing auction started - I can't see L2 but have live prices on IG...

Some possible reasons:
- cutting edge science generally takes longer than two minutes
- corners cannot be cut in the design and manufacture of medical devices for obvious reasons
- independent validation is outside the control of the company
- there is no confirmation of news flow order, we may receive clinical validation and orders at the same time
- we've already received multiple RNS's this month confirming progress to date
- it's August and people are on holiday

These are just the ones off the top of my head, but I doubt this matters to Always Whining, given their constant stream of negativity and insinuation on this board is as regular as clockwork

I'm heavily in Avacta (as well as GDR) and the Mcap is supported at a much high level as its primarily a pharma company with four different tech platforms, one of which supports a diagnostics divisions (with the COVID LFT), rather than a purely diagnostic play - nothing corrupt about it!

Does anyone have any thoughts as to timelines here? Am also somewhat clueless as to what's now supposed to be happening...

I've been holding since £1.50 in May and am fine with being patient, but equally the failure to sell any COVID tests in a COVID pandemic or communicate with the market (beyond the admittedly significant deal with Danaher) is starting to grate a little...

I'd be keen to hear others thoughts on how they see things progressing from here?
