Mmmm...I'm not in favour of Avacta/DX being sold...however, there has been a bit of an emphasis of late in the RNS's to do with the subject. First it was DX and now we have todays RNS emphasising company sell offs. Plus more Board changes to come in near future. Are we being lined up for a DX sale and then an Avacta deal. As I said, who would want to put a chunk of change into Avacta with the Bond hanging over the company. I get Eliot stepping down since he's now taken up a full time CEO position and he new handlers may well have insisted on it if tone or more are planning on investing in Avacta and don't want to be accused of a conflict of interest. CC looks to be a mover and shaker but she is based in the US and I'm sure she won't wish to spend years travelling back and forth. No I feel she's been put in on a temp basis...the upcoming Board changes will be key....

This RNS is signalling something bigger than some might be expecting...I still think a deal maker is pulling the strings here and insisting on certain changes.

Avacta have already published their results so anyone attending the AGM will have chance to raise questions prior to the vote. All investors who bought in the raise are now under water. Will II's create a hissy fit over the current SP...no I doubt it because the understand the fact they've bought into an early stage company with a huge bond on the books and a background shorter...yet they still invested because they saw the future potential. Having said that, investing is all about what might happen in the future and has it's risks if the future doesn't pan out as expected...PIs and IIs are therefore in the same boat with everything crossed...

The Directors will want to get the AGM out of the way without sny hiccups and then move on with business...we will all get more news when there's news to give so in the meantime go and enjoy your life...

Question...would a deal maker want the Bond clearing before they invest...is that why Avacta has mentioned DX could be divested?

D-Geeman....I'm not against LFT's as such. It was just the Covid LFT. I know so many people who used Covid LFT's incorrectly and too early only to go down with Covid a day or so later. Many are still using LFT's now and again are saying they don't have Covid when they oviously have all the classic symptoms. What strain do you test for nowadays?

From what I remember a PCR test was needed to really prove ones situation.

All I was trying to say was Avacta didn't stand a chance when up against all those cheap Chinese Covid LFT's which appeared as approved on the UK Govts PD Lists. Govts need to reassure people and cheap easy to use LFT's were the way to do this. With an incubation period of 5 - 10 days the spread of Covid was virtually impossible to control hence the lockdowns and look where that got us.

Avacta have a hard slog/push against the antibody brigade. It's a huge market and they don't want some upstart of a company like Avacta messing with it. However, if they can just get one good Pharma on board perhaps via the back door...Precision/Affimer tech...they may just stand a chance.

The Covidid LFT again was against them when the World was in pure panic and needed huge volumes at low prices...acccurate or not they all went running to the Chinese. Covids incubation period also meant LFTs were never going to be effective as symptoms often take up to 7 days to manifest by which time you've already infected numerous others. All a waste of time and just a cheap trick to reassure the public.

Energyshares...I might have not made my question very clear. Lilly have just agreed a lucrative partnership deal with Aktis. The Point/Avacta deal is a less lucrative licence deal. Would Lilly be likely to want to turn the Licence deal they've just inherited through the Point purchase into a Partnership deal to incorporate some of the new up snd coming PreCision products. What we don't know is at what stage they are at with the CanSEEK enabled products...or do we? I can't find any Lilly updates.

At the moment Avacta only have a licencing deal…would Eli Lilly be interested in moving that to a Partnering deal perhaps for other PreCision candidates.

'What work does a biotech do prior to "preclinical" that would take that sort of time?' I think sometimes it's just a case of waiting in line. However, just because we haven't heard anything it doesn't mean fine tuning and tweeking isn't still taking place.

Eliot Forster was CEO at Immunocore from Jan 2015 to Feb 2018.

Christina Coughlin was Chief Med Office at Immunocore from April 2015 to July 2018.

Paul Fry was CFO at Immunocore from Oct 2016 to Oct 2018

All the above are now Board Members at Avacta.

Consilium have been advisors to Immunocore since 2015 they are also advisors to Avacta,

BV...the Framington Biotech Fund held 2.3m Avacta shares as at end August 2023 and as at end Feb 24 reported buying just over a million in previous 6 months...this doesn't mean they bought them in the Placing.
