AVA3996 combines a proprietary proteasome inhibitor (called AVA2727D). In a head to head study, AVA2727D kills cancers cells (ex-vivo) as effectively as bortezomib (Takeda’s Velcade) which is one of the approved proteasome inhibitors on the market. point taken b2hs2l but pharma have a history of splashing the cash on ip that doesn't work or they put on the back burner for whatever reason. herd mentality doesn't always = good business sense. adc might have sounded like the magic bullet at the time but other therapies are always in development and every now and again a real 'blockbuster' surfaces...think asprin...who would have thought what a bit of pine bark could do!!!!.

You can bet your bot... dollar they followed ever inch of Lilly's deal for Point Biopharma and will be well aware of what Avacta are up to. Novartis have to be a pipeline candidate if not a full on TO contender because they would backdoor into Point deal.

Forget dose to site...it's sbout what happens to that dose...side effects and potential toxicity damage elsewhere. Just because a bunch of Pharma jumped on the ADC bandwagon doesn't mean they aren't still open to taking on something that now appears to be better...PreCision is where it's at now.

Agree they seem to be pushing along on several fronts. I never thought I'd say this but does anyone get the feeling Avacta is being packaged for sale. The new team have all got history in this area. I know they are still talking partnerships but there seems to be more American style urgency within the camp.
