According to our Oncologist...MTD is often avoided in older patients in favour of a longer dosing period. 14 instead of 12 for example. I have wondered why Dox was chosen...perhaps it was to set a high base line. If you can use 3 x standard dosage level with dox without finding a MTD then it's potentially possible that such a dosage or even higher would work for other nasty chemos in a PreCision wrapper. Surely it depends on how this is seen by the likes of the FDA. Could PreCision actually move the MTD levels without the need for further trials or allow 2W dosing rather than say a 3W dosing regime.

Just a thought.

OK so how quick is quick...

So is she actually saying that with this new scanner you can see the amount of FAP each different type of tumour has and therefore they will be able to simply define the correct dose based on this and not having to do clinical dosing studies for different tumours and therefore different chemo treatments becase it's the PreCision cleaving to the FAP which is all important not the chemo drug itself.

If this is the case then the AVA6000 trials together with the new scanner studies alongside would put PreCision in a league of its own.

So to summerise.

You know the tumour type.

You know which chemo treatment is needed.

You now know how much FAP is in the tumours.

You know tolerated chemo drug dose on it's own

You give the chemo drug its PreCision wrapper

You administer at tolerated dose on a 2W basis and increase as rapidly as you can or even start on a hugher dose if allowed by the authorities and all the above could be done without the need for new trials.

Or am I way off piste with this.

BV do you also think it could be used to determin dosing levels?...different cancers with different FAP levels get different dosage...fine tuning means true targetting.

SonnyCher...talk to your Oncologist about the AVA6000 trial. Take a copy of the trial details with you with contacts details etc. You won't be eligable for the current trial but perhaps the next. With cancer you need to follow every option possible and have the conversations now not later when access to options may not be possible. Xx

Really sorry to hear guys...may I also suggest you insist you Doctor does an ACE test which is a far better indicator of whether or not cancer may be present.

For men, bladder cancer is often missed if all eyes are focused on the prostrate. I do not wish to scare you but my husband had negative poo tests for years only to find he had stage 4 colon cancer. He's fine now after 3 years, 3 major ops, 2 lots of chemo and radiotherapy etc etc. He's now on 3 monthly monitoring scans/blood tests.

Some patients in 3W who experienced efficacy continued to receive AVA6000 after trial effectively ended but I assume data has still been collected. Will the same apply for 2W study? If so, even if trial effectively end with C3 then data could still be collected from patients who continue to receive doses of AVA6000.

2W data is key to next trial phases BUT what new data might we still receive from 3W trial patients...that could be awesome if one or more enter remission which would be remarkable for such poorly end of lifers. If anyone does enter remission that that news will blow thecdoors off this SP...and the value of Avacta. Don't hold your breath just keep everything crossed...

JV..of course there are circumstances where info can be held back/delayed...such as a signature timing. When it comes to deals done between two listed companies then timing can be a factor and there are many tactics/tricks...but I don't think the likes of Avacta are that sophisticated or in a position to hold back price sensitive news.

There are two types of trial..closed and open. Avactas is open and as you say they can inform the markets as they wish regarding steps in the trial...dosed cohorts etc. However, if they have data from said trial which is clearly ground breaking and they knowingly withhold this info from the markets to keep the SP down due to a qrtly loan payment then that's against market rules.

Personally I think we have a BOD who are more than happy to keep the markets informed rather than play games. Very much US open style management.

BV...rules is tut rules...as laid down by AIM and LSE etc. I have questioned this on several occasion with CFO's etc and the general rule seems to be that they take their advice from their broker(s) if it isn't blatently obvious. In fact, most have said they just RNS anyway to be on the safe side.
