Where did Medusa19 get their stock from if they are ready to go when we get HUA? Mologic?

If we are going to be a huge global supplier...we are going to need far more manufacturing capacity than Abingdon can provide...

Mr A...it could also be to do with improvements made by Avacta...affimer and strip tweeking...and above all making sure our LFT is consistently accurate at its peak performance levels...

The pipeline of opportunities behind these technical transfers is encouraging and we have an additional two technical transfer contracts signed which we anticipate commencing in the second quarter of FY 2022. Most companies take the full 6 months allowed them ...so why is Abingdon putting theirs out so early (almost 1 1/2 months early)...and why tomorrow? the very day Sujood_2.0 is predicting will be a good day for Avacta and why the positive market reaction for both companies today....

Perhaps the Abingdon stand is empty and they are Twittering to try and generate some interest...on the otherhand, Medusa might be far too busy to Twitter...
Two sides to every coin and having worked many expo stands the real marketing should have been done in advance of opening with personal invitations, target marketing etc not on opening day...we used to book penthouse suite in adjoining hotel and would have an all day buffet and open bar for our customers...it worked every time and lead to lots of great contracts...

Thanks Chief...I try to do my little bit to help grow the picture...very frustrating that fti Consulting seem to be sitting on their hands...would have thought they could/should be generating a little more market coverage or at least making suggestions for the Avacta Twitter pages which are pretty basic and teaboyish...

In 2020 GillianS.Slack, JohnChamberlain, and RogerHewson all at Public Health England, Porton Down were involved in research using Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever virus nucleoprotein specific Affimer and its inhibitory effects in viral replication and development of colorimetric diagnostic tests...LFTs...and the results were excellent.
So why oh why are they taking so long to give us HUA...is it a case of one department not talking to another..or is the head of the evaluations department on his/her own agenda...

CautiousO...sorry to be a bit nit picky but it's a Soros deal supported by the Gates Foundation and other investors....insert winking emoji with a big smile...

Nickmc...totally agree...herein lies the major problem with Globalisation and so called Free Trade deals. China over the years has build cities of companies whose sole aim is to copy Western companies IP and to replicate. There has also been a huge problem with fake drugs being sent into the Western markets and finding their way into high steet pharmacies etc...overall its a mess.

Doggy100...the UK Govt and others had to move quickly at the start of this pandemic and get their hands on whatever they could ahead of others.. a race to the bottom...and China was the only country able to produce and provide anywhere the volumes of LFT needed at the time. Innova being the one the UK went with. In addition the UK govt and others realised they had to provide testing for free to get the take up so cheap volume was the order of the day. Lower accuracy was deemed to be OK as volume made up for it and they felt by high volume testing they could still get a grip on outbreaks etc...a few deaths along the was would be simple collateral damage as long as the NHS wasn't overwhelmed. Now we are at the point where the UK Govt and others want to move away from freebies and if consumers, businesses and, moving on down the road, the NHS etc are to be charged then they have to be seen to be offering more accurate tests which have gone through their new sooper dooper testing process at PD. The possible problem Avacta have is how broad the testing is and whether or not they are prepared to treat our new affimer tech fairly, use real life vs frozen Covid samples, put enough people on the job to get results through in a timely manner, accept our independent tests etc then we might be in for a shot.
Trouble is we just don't know what on earth is going on...

Doze..agree...however, how long does it take to test some tests. These are lateral flow test being tested for home use...its not rocket science really...check put the packaging, instructions, ease of use, test a couple of hundred to see how accurate they are verify results against company data....simple if you put a few dozen people on it working 24/7 shifts...not so simple if you give the job to one part timer working half a day per week between other jobs.
Here in lies another problem...how much resource is being thrown at this approval exercise....???

There are 54 countries in the commonwealth and they would be the best target market due to their links to the UK. Many of their standards are UK based so our LFT could be a simple drop in.
