Where is a Director buy? I do not see it
That’s the point. It is not - if you are relying on that info you should not be trading.
It is an indication based on the spread between buy and sell. If you make investment decisions based on that info you will lose even more than I do
How do you know they were buys? Very surprised if they were not sells given we are 20% down.
Don’t assume incredible value. I Have a lot of shares but the Chinese are not happy with HSBC after releasing bank details of the Huawei finance CFO. 80% profits from that region so cannot really afford an uncertain HK situation plus poor relations with a China plus COVID, plus a upcoming escalating trade war. Also HSBC so tied in to HK regulator means redundancies etc are not possible over there - jobs for life if you want. Makes it challenging ing to restructure and reduce heads although most of that focus will be UK, France, US and rest of Europe
May look cheap but lots of issues to deal with.
Yes - I am the same. This is certainly one to trade but not very good at that.
Don’t want to miss out on the day it keeps going
No - definitely not. HSBA are out of favour with Chinese. The growing influence of China in HK makes this risky.
I could see somewhere like Singapore but we are many years away from that. I think HK is a non starter now Given the risks involved.
Singapore would love HSBC - very tax efficient and with 85% profits from region would make a lot of sense.
Unless you have access to better tools than me I would not be sure they are sells.
When’s the bank holiday? Markets are open a Monday ithought
Nope - please do sell. I am still buying so the cheaper the better
Lino - can you post the article you read? Thanks
Only thing is debt position. In this climate will they be able to service the debt
I have 35k worth so let’s hope so
How much equity do they get for 250 million?
I do hope no one has suggested Corbyn would do better.
Boris has been criticised for being indecisive and too slow- may be fair criticism but let’s remember Corby still has not decided after 3 years whether he wants to leave or stay in a Europe.
I was a labour supporter till 6 months ago. I cannot believe I am suggesting that the Tory leader is preferable!

Problem is I keep buying but feels like I am catching a falling knife.
Seems ridiculously low but keeps going
You were saying?
Halting funds does not look good.
Nope
So let me get this right. Both the new and ex Chairman have bought large amounts in last two days. Obviously not a closed period but guessing they want in b4 others come sniffing around.
Buy signal for me - I am in
Unfortunately that should have been done 12 months ago. Very different selling when an enforced seller - would get a fraction of that
Hargreaves invest divi money between 11th and 18th of the following month. Therefore if Gsk pay divi on 4th April it will get invested between 11th and 18th.
Sometimes a bit annoying because if the divi is paid on 15th for example HL will wait to following month but you can always turn to cash and do it yourself although charges higher
