This new ruling on compensation claims. The rest of us earners have to suffer low interest rates with banks giving us what amounts to real terms negative interest (when inflation is figured In), so why don't they think anyone claiming has to do the same.

Yesterday USA knew the result and the markets went down. Here they largley went up. Today we were going great till USA woke up, now everything is tanking, while in USA they are going up. Answers please.

I don't take much notice of broker ratings, but hsbc are normally quite bearish in their ratings of companies, so a rating like the one they just issued is as significant as broker ratings go.

Shorting the ftse, that's why you spreading your doom and gloom message on alot of top ftse message boards then.

That's almost a 7% yield at today's sp due to the drop in the value of the pound against the dollar. Not bad.

IMHO won't be touched. Why? For one, the Dutch royal family are said to reap almost 100mln euro a yr from their holding of shell and secondly, they can borrow at NEGATIVE interest rates to fund it while we wait for the inevitable rebound in poo in the next two to three yrs...... Then just watch the sp soar now the company has had to lean up a bit.

Don't forget the vast dilution of the shares we do have.

From DR, what makes us think we can believe mng? It was going to be fine 2 yrs ago. Can the same things still go wrong, can the new investors just flip their shares for a 200% profit down the line? All things to ask yourself before diving in.
