There is no more room for cutting jobs. There are big staff shortages already. Don't count on them to cut costs by slashing jobs. That simply can't happen without facing massive fines for not delivering mail. We are stretched to the limit as we are. Mail is not declining anywhere near the rate they would have you believe and packets are rising at such an alarming rate that offices unless they take more staff on, are going to be piling up with them next month. The USO needs to go if we are to truly compete with packet only delivery companies.
On an Elliott holdings rns? Do you reckon they've sold a few on the spike yesterday? If so, and I'm by no means saying they have,it would really need looking into.
Only a 4% holding, for a company the shear size of blt, is still a fair wad of cash. Agree though, a 6% rise is extreme when the fundamentals haven't changed.
Market manipulation? So, a major shareholder releases a letter that has the effect of upping the sp by 6%, then blt say it's not viable. Stinks if you ask me.
No worries. Dont forget the sp will fall with every divi going ex div, however, hold them for a few yrs and you should be ok at this buy in price. The company is making good profit still after all.
Just a bit of honest advice mate, chill out. Never 'assume' things or go by what others say on here when it comes to staking your hard earned on a share. Always read it for yourself. No sanctamony intended. I did say good luck ;-)
That's why it's a special divi. If you take time to read yesterday's rns all will become clear. If you don't want to do the research you really shouldn't be investing. Gl.
Announced and declared are two different things, but if they come about, I'll be happy. Just gotta hold on for a few yrs, it'll come good when brexit calms down.
i would personally love a special divi, but i thought it was spare cash returned by way of specials OR buy backs and they bought quite a few shares back last yr. Do you really think a special divi is on the cards as well? Hope so as it'll be something to sweeten the wait I will have to endure to get back up to £50. ATB .
