Our local (and relatively new) at 4 yrs old, m and s is always busy, and its across the road from a large Tesco, which it has to be said, is always busy too. Point is, the shops attract slightly different markets, mark's used to be quite pricey for food but now is far more competitive. I know which shopping experience I would rather have any day. Btw, are the shop and the bank different as far as financials go? Reason I ask is because the bank brings a lot of trade to the shop. Switchers have200 odd to spend in store and if you have a credit card and sparks card in my experience its far more rewarding than both Tesco and Morrison's club card and more card.
