Did you not ask next why they use Hermes and not a decent quality service such as royal mail? They don't exclusively use Hermes though as I've delivered next items.

Our local (and relatively new) at 4 yrs old, m and s is always busy, and its across the road from a large Tesco, which it has to be said, is always busy too. Point is, the shops attract slightly different markets, mark's used to be quite pricey for food but now is far more competitive. I know which shopping experience I would rather have any day. Btw, are the shop and the bank different as far as financials go? Reason I ask is because the bank brings a lot of trade to the shop. Switchers have�200 odd to spend in store and if you have a credit card and sparks card in my experience its far more rewarding than both Tesco and Morrison's club card and more card.

Ever more risky to be invested when results updates are due nowadays, however good you think they're gonna be, they always seem to dissapoint , or even if they don't, the market seems to go into sell off overdrive and the sp drops anyway. Funny old game. GL all.

At 99p per delivery he's gotta be working some hrs to get 34k a yr. He's got the cost of fuel too as well as business insurance. It's one delivery every 6 minutes for ten hrs solid (not including loading vehicle) ,every day of the yr. And thats if he doesn't pay tax and NI. Realistic? Or is he telling porkies ?

Royal mail have around 50% of the parcels market. 10 yrs ago ,true ,we had around 90% however 50% of a cake is still much more than 90% of a slice. I assure you that you are a minority if you get a tenth of the letters you once did, if that were the case across the board, I'd have been delivering 30 to 40 items of mail per day to around 60% of my addresses! If you don't do the job, please don't blindly quote the rubbish that the likes of credit suisse have put out. They have their agenda.

Of declining mail and patchy parcels is rubbish. Either that or our office is an anomaly. Rmg are making money, no fear. The future? Well, who can tell, however, we are still bound by the USO, once that playing field gets leveled it'll be plain sailing.

But nxt report wasn't bad, in line with forecast.......and 8% down. Then knock on effect here. The markets are screwed.

It really is laughable, rmg gets a broker rating and drops 5% , the results update here,as you say, is in line with what was expected, and 8% drop! I'm wondering if the only good way to invest now is to never be in a share when reporting results , just cash out early and wait for an overreaction like this. It's a game. Good luck all.

And ask any postie if the letter volume is falling anywhere near as much as the scaremongering suggests. I can assure you it is not. There is stacks and stacks of advertising catalog mail. Joe public seem to think there's no mail. That's rubbish. Packets are the main revenue though, I agree, and that is rising by more than the bosses would have you believe.

rise, not sure what factors have contributed to it though. Maybe just sentiment turning ,i've been waiting a month for it! hopefully it'll come back onto peoples radar now and gather momentum. gl all. with new car sales falling ,more people should be running older ,less reliable cars and so feel they need the security of breakdown cover.
