I don’t doubt Vlad has been approached by brokers or that there are supportive long-term holders involved.
My view is simply that £190k on its own isn’t a strategic funding decision. If a better deal had been on the table at that point, it would have been taken to secure longer-term runway.
I’m heavily invested and, realistically, I expect a slightly discounted placing in the £5m–£10m range for 9-12 months runway. The cash generating ideas, such as renting out space or the Estonia route, are likely to take longer than I initially thought. Once funding is secured, however, the company can move forward positively without near-term cashflow concerns, and that’s when the real milestones come into play, which could take the SP well above current levels.
This is just my opinion. So far, I’ve not seen any funding that hasn’t been discounted unless it was directly tied to purchasing a product from the company providing the capital. I’d be very happy to see that change.
Funding, even at a slight discount, is normal for early-stage biotech. What matters is getting the pipeline moving again, as that’s where the real ROI sits...
I’ve taken a lot of your input on board over the past few years, so I hope you’re right on this. I’m just being honest about what I expect as a retail investor, based on what I can see today. Still incredibly bullish on HEMO doing well..
