I look at the accounts- yes demand is returning, no one wants massive job losses but as an accountant how can the auditors not comment on the data breach contingent liability cost which was incurred in the accounting period Mae 20 . Secondly the timing of the raise just before the H1 results - I think many many more FTSE co form 100 - 350 & AIM will need this route before the furlough scheme closes and govt short term debt needs refinancing . GLA . US approach no more lockdowns - count the ..... GN sadly but economies must revive otherwise debt casualties will overtake covid - sadly enough. Who wants to be in authority? Glad I'm out of it all. I genuinely feel for all those kids out there trying to establish a base. Thats why I think holidays - like new cars are bottom of the 2020 list. PWA - Your Last post- IMO DYOR this recent S& P 500 recovery, excluding FAANG stocks allows II's to recoup their wrong footed positions pre covid early Mar 20 , reduce exposure (hence cyclicals are now flavour of the month) -squeeze short positions to fuel the rally forced buying and allow II's to off load exposure to any new equity raises - that will be needed. The world economy is scarred and will take time to heal despite Stimulus packages. Problem is US is nearing the hit S&P 500 and break even recovery, now the rally would mean new capital buying into the teeth of a global recession - so why not go short II's that is in the US and get another rally in Q3 double dip profit for low risk - no -one left out, as hedge funds were in March 20 - IMO hence the aggression of the last 3-4 weeks rally - based on caca torro. S&P valuations - based upon 2020/21 reduced earnings are at 2000 highs - Retail guys have done well buying into the dip no doubt - well done for that faith - now its time to wait and see. IMO gravity works and in the UK a 300 year recession is something to be careful about. Very interesting next 4-5 weeks in unknown territory - there's no precedent for covid related recession. GLA So in answer to you question - be careful and base your decision on fundamentals.

New to Inchcape, but the 33 countries exposure to the virus is worrying, NAV £3.12 ish of which £1bn is Intangibles - Weak balance sheet for raising funds - i.e. Goodwill & Rights of Use which will be downgraded - me thinks on next 2 years future recession cash flows . This company is obviously gearing to 'Online with the New CEo so expect structural radical reforms and I would guess an equity raise - to bolster Net Assets - there will be stock write downs as vehicle RV's are impacted. At least the board admitted to a slow gradual recovery as with most of its markets in recession and unemployment in an L shaped recovery, corporate failures will impact . I never understood the 2bn Mkt cap when you take away the 3 pillars of corporate strength - 1. Divi yield Gone. 2 Share Buy Back & 3 Earnings growth delayed 3 years . India's PMI 5.4 - in Normal City that and 20M US Un - UNemployed would spell Demand destruction - but agree you could buy up Hertz failed car rental and Avis fleets plus VW etc and use them to store jet fuel for 6 months, its more akward for Brent crude you need a boat as nearly all land sights - are fullish a tad. I agree EC - that Oil looks strangely priced, market needs to acknowledge and reward OPEC + cuts but too much reactivates Shale, unless this to create a very high peak to short down when contracts roll over 19th May I think, especially when India's PMI is 5.4 - FFS not 54 - and down from 49.3 and Oil up!!??? 4. Customer cash refunds balance now 50%
5. Banking covenants - EBITDA
6. Major Shareholder revolt - to avoid a Rights Issue or Forece M losses
5. Major Competitors going south Norg & Virgin = lack of capital support
6. Impairment asset values planes NRV
6. Motion to clear the BOD - Sack Ceo & CFo
7. Still $4.5bn Capex on a dying fleet

Dart will have all these issues reviewed but we don't have the data YET - frustrating.

EZT - today given the quantum of unknowns - And the share price today goes up today (Warning Dart) - in my time if the CEo had a cold it was a downgrade. Never seen anything like this in all my working days across ALL industries, - no good not clever - Auditors tested to the MAX all sectors ...
