Europe could face energy rationing as ‘really tough winter’ looms, Shell boss warns

European consumers could face the prospect of energy rationing this winter as costs continue to soar, Shell chief executive Ben van Beurden has warned.
“It will be a really tough winter in Europe,” said Van Beurden, speaking at the Aurora spring conference in Oxford on Thursday. “We will all face very significant escalation in energy prices. In the worst case, Europe will need to ration its energy consumption.”

Lots of support here - we're too cheap to pxxs about of crap short trades, you've had the best of it from £5.38, we hit £3.15 yesterday with a higher FTSE 100. - BP's lower, just bought some BP results 3 weeks away - full up here.

There is no doubt - IMO DYOR all major plays have been held back until this transfer has taken place, with-hold benefit to new beneficiaries, hence down played Tolmount, Timpan 1 - TU May - debt at 31st March not April & talking about M&A options.

BP have older asset clusters ready for sale - HBR command 40% of Andaman with BP 30%partners, if this play reaches anywhere near multiple TCF's the infrastructure costs and asset management would better suit (or led) an Oil Major. There is the potential for a producing asset swap from BP to take the lead stake in the play, a 25% stake transfer could be worth a huge amount and a very real future option. Should bring HBR & BP closer as they must be in regular contact now Timpan 1 has come in and further developments ensue.

We could be looking here at very different M&A dynamics for HBr - as array of bargaining chips expand- exponentially in the coming months. 12 TCFs = 2bn boe plus 400m barrels of condensate, BP love Gas!! It's green.

There should be nothing holding back the flow of news now and expect H1 to be a treasure trove of goodies, let it rip baby.

Sangar is a cluster - 6 TCF is a 1bnboe plus 400m barrels of condensate (each) and HBR is the operator. Add the other block, HBR is a very larger player in the Andaman sea. I knew they had drilled this pre- EIG share out - Energean Athena guidelines and this was shallower water and shallower TD. 58 Condensate valuable - the potential impact to reserves will be massive and now all the EIG buddies are loaded up, tax paid SOL unwinding, no need to smash the SP down & in time, when they communicate - this will fly.

Totally different feel to the SP today - 7.3m trade at £3.21 and we finished up, despite market fall and POO down. As I stated earlier looks like the dips are getting bought into - hopefully. HBR should never have fallen to £3.00 FFS and we now know why.

Timpan1 - IMO is a monster in a massive block and they are keeping a lid on this until the Blair Cook witch project terminates. Sad to say - we are held at the mercy of some F's & C's tax affairs - for a FTSE 100 company - utterly shameful, how can you manage to invest in this chaos FFS? Should be outlawed.

Some time soon the SOL will unwind but not yet - watch this space. They will have to give a drilling update soon as BP will otherwise.

Thanks kign, I understood EIG were in the mix, but yes I agree - this discovery is deliberately understated, no mention of potential TCF's in the find - 'Material' This is a PLAY MAKER FFS - IMO DYOR - this will be a game changer there are + 10 timpans out there, HBR BOD being cautious allows the SOL shorters to get out over the next 7 weeks before H1 - when they announce a massive revaluation spike in reserves.

MKT should fall this week, US CPI China covid, etc etc US Q2 earnings season jitters , could pressure oil short term, then I will add more and then a rebound. Thanks for replying kign and good luck. So hopefully the SOL 10% will unwind next 2-3 months. GLA

All going to script, 1 trading day after EIG Timpan results as I said on 62 days drilling. Timpan 1 is one of many prospects in our block, partnered by BP - this will be looked at in depth. Increases our resources - block could contain 6-12 TCF. Great news and more details to follow.
