Still, the OPEC kept its forecast that global oil demand will exceed pre-pandemic levels this year despite headwinds from the war in Ukraine and the coronavirus pandemic. Also, the supply remains tight. Libyan oil exports are falling amid political unrest while other OPEC+ producers still struggle to meet their production targets, and Russia is facing an oil embargo.

When HBR hits under £3.50 I'm buying - why?
1. Superior management - Linda is Mega Oil connected - and first ahead of any accretive M&A when cash hits register hits $200m cash inflow per month post capex & tax
2. EIG are a quasi activist investor - so self serving - they will make sure Linda moves in the right direction
3. Stock on Loan is why SP has cratered - +9.5% Like Cairn - that killed the GOI 1 $bn pay-out for II's the PI's were shafted - me included - why with HBR ? I don't know - so second law of physics ish.... - momentum if all is well cash flow - 35% fall in SP BUY BUY with Oil +$120 and yield.
4. Time window - the shorting negatives will materially fall away at H1 at this SP level - so the LT equity risk reduces are lower for long and increases for short - next 2-3 weeks at £3.40 SP Then it will become a runaway buy. Not here yet - FILL YOUR BOOTS £3.40 HNY

I've just revised my projections, depreciation in 2022 will be relatively static and is a major component of Cost of Sales and hence gross margin, that cost as a % of the cost of sales diminishes with revenue volume. HBR sales Q1 were $1.5bn, they will equal 2021 full year sales at the H1 results. So more than double income, same opex and half of full year depn H1 $1.4bn x 50% - $700m Full year income should exceed $6.2bn with over 53% GM - I make EDITDA $3.9 bn or £3.4bn - they would sufficient cash to smash debt and buyback - 15% of the shares in issues - no problem. Thats why I think a big material accretive M&A deal is on its way - in some shape or form - surplus cash.
The reason I state this, for all HBR major production growth on exciting new plays are 2024-2026, so to provide growth and offset natural decline (in the intervening years ) they need to buy existing production and reserves - which Tullow did with CNE. I bet we turned that down for some reason. HBR could afford to spend $1bn on Oil major offloads without a blink. EIG must have access to monthly management accounts and would not sell on the rate of profit growth. We are held down but not for long, news will out.

Well Sekforde, that's the first time I've seen an Oil Co valuation without referring to 2P reserves. The points for me are:-
1. HBR has scale, Serica doesn't
2. Product mix HBR superb
3. Exploration runway - Huge starting this month in Timpan.
4. Material M& A opportunities generated by scale.

Serica is a very good company - one major HBR weakness is share overhang and a mega shorting legacy posse. Both should do well next few years, I think HBR has more chance of doubling on multiple trading options. GLA

Had a huge problem with CNE stock on loan - where the GOI $1bn refund was robbed by II's using this route. Different to CNE - HBR have sustainable earnings growth - IMO EIG and the like are not fussed on an equity issue for any M&A - take CNE & Tullow - all share deal. This is aimed at narrowing down M&A options and an equity deal would fly in the face of Share buy backs. WT is just a front to discount the Sp and help SOL and shorters.

Problem is China coming back on stream, insane demand for travel and US driving season POO will be $130 this month IMO. HBR has enough fire power to get scale size M&A with cash and modest debt. GLA Pleebs I'm on your wave length.

No doubt - intro of WT - BP Shell etc are reviewing their tax exposure post tax - IMO this should help HBR get certain possible targets at a discount - expect M&A news before H1 IMO DYOR - for growth HBR needs an acquisition before other big streams come on line .
