Seems a strange situation when cash at bank and in hand was £226.9M at jan 2022 and more cash generated since whereas MCap is only £210M now. It underlines the argument that the Company is massively undervalued.
Thank you Magic. Are you saying that if the general public (holding 20.8%) do not start to sell then the SP will continue to languish at this low level? If so, is it similar to Diandto’s view that the Company is going nowhere slowly?
The CEO said that we should not sell at this price and he predicted a price of £6 in 5 years to trigger the employee incentive schemes. So he clearly does not agree with you Diandto. Also the chairman bought a large quantity of shares at a much higher price and so he doesn’t agree with you either. Is there something you know that the CEO and Chairman don’t know? If so then please let us know too? Thank you.
Hi Alnwick
I totally agree with you but I have already put far too much into this one share foolishly hoping that one day it would pay out big style. Frankly I now do not have the funds to buy more or I would. I need a pay out before the wife finds out where our money is.
The SP was falling without apparent reason during September 2020 just prior to the £150M share placement and consolidation. Nobody could understand the reason for the SP falling then. Similarly it might be that a big surprise is coming soon.
Diandto and Buglet11 both popped up at the same time, 22nd and 23rd June. Neither has previously posted on this forum and yet in less than a week they have posted 22 negative posts about Saga’s prospects and nothing else about Saga or any other company. You could say they appear to be colluding to drive the price down without providing any reasoned arguments. I think it is best to ignore them rather than debate with them. They should be recognised for what they are. i.e. C U Next Tuesday.
Hi Spights.
Thank you. Yes. I understand that. However there would be less risk and more potential gain for the shorter if they attacked a share that was overvalued. It is much more difficult for the shorter to win if the SP is already undervalued.
Hi Spights
Please could you explain to me what benefit you think there is for someone to take a short position on a stock that is already significantly undervalued? It seems to me that the effect of taking a short position would mainly benefit the shorter if the share was overvalued.
I would also be very interested in Pokerchips’ view of this as he seems to have a very good understanding of such things.
