3 years ago in July 2022, we were debating on this board whether the SP would fall below £2 and many of us thought it wouldn’t. It had already fallen a long way. However it fell much more and was for a time well below £1. None of us know what will happen to the SP but I hope Rupans is right that it may reach £6 to £8.

I am getting pretty confident that we will reach SP of £6 soonish as they are an issuing new shares for employee incentives and the incentives do not trigger until £6 is reached.

Is my understanding correct?

I am in a similar position to you, having also invested through the Covid period. I think I may have a slightly fewer shares than you based on your assessment of how far your A4 certificates would line up end to end.

My average purchase price is 266.4P and when the SP reached 456, I had well over £1m invested here. I think I must have got a bit obsessed with this always thinking there would be a quick recovery.

Does anybody understand the paragraph:

Where I wrote 6P per month, it should read 17.6P per month.

Hey Rogue. I am just a bit puzzled. If the SP is going to reach 600 in about 26 months by June 2027, then it would increase on average by just over 6P per month. If it did this then it would be rapidly growing in the next couple of years and so you would be losing by selling half your stake now. Alternatively are you expecting the SP to be static and then suddenly rise by mid 2027?

How does it make sense that there are more short positions?

I see that the results are due on April 9th. I find it difficult to understand the various announcements made through the year but I have concluded from these that the profit will be in excess of £60M for the year. What do you all think?

If they sold the insurance business, wouldn’t that sale include the insurance goodwill? I think it should and so if the goodwill has been sold then no need for a write down as the sale of the business including goodwill would be at a loss. As you will see, I probably don’t understand these things very well.

Could somebody please explain why a professional investment Company is still betting against Saga with a 0.91% short position when it shames that most of us private investors are expecting a good trading update in a few days time?Surely these professionals have a good understanding of Saga’s prospects and so might it be possible that we are in for a big disappointment on Thursday?
