People who are optimistic for the company's prospects shouldn't ignore the single customer risk. That's exactly why the company itself includes it as a major risk in it's reports. While it's great to have a customer and financial security for the coming year unless they place their order and remain NANO's only major commercial customer at the end of the year that security disappears.

Single customer dependency gives that customer a great deal of leverage over pricing, timing and stock flow that can damage the supplier. Look at IQE's SP drop due to the iPhone slowdown. Apple was actually only 20% of their business and the SP stabalised mainly because their other product lines are also firing all cylinders. As things stand NANO doesn't have that resilience.

If the customer is Apple they have proven many times that they operate on their terms only and don't give a monkey's about their suppliers when it comes to getting what they want.

I'm cheered like you are that NANO's in the best position it's been in for a long time but realistic investors do well not to ignore the risks.

Yeah it was priced in by the current rise. Barring new contracts, sales picking up, problems with THE contract or major macro sentiment changes it stays in the 45p - 50p range until we find out if THE order has been placed IMO.

Innocent until proven guilty and all that but the board should do plenty of extra due diligence on the guy in light of this. More worrying is how long it might go on. A criminal investigation - months?

Maybe the branding is down to the OEM and not the supplier? Vizio prefer to say ROHS compliant while HP go with cad free?

It appears something's clearly prevented NANO from capturing any significant share of the gen 1 film market. It's all to play for with gen 2 though. And, back to gen 1, we may get a supplier shuffle in NANO's favour when cad exemptions finish. We'll just have to see what effect that has.

I agree. I'm hanging on the basis of one more Brexit sterling drop. The ex rate is all that will move this. Then who knows, we may cancel this misguided self abuse, have a Bobby Ewing moment, revoke article 50, the pound spring back to $1.50 and I could make a real world profit.

I'm not expecting anything from display beyond a few pre-qualification dot sales. This is base on the last Nanoco presentation where it now says that the display market opportunity timing is H2 2019. It also goes on to say that display revenue ramp up isn't expected until H2 2020. Financially, everything's on the US partner in the short term.

It's interesting that they seem to be ahead on next gen dot displays. That's what Merck and now Dow are focusing on. Would chuckle if Plessey beat Dow to market after they've failed to do anything with the first gen stuff we gave them a few years back.

I don't have the will to get through the Torygraph's paywall Morbox. Seems odd that a mix of UK/US private equity and Canadian pensioners might be seen as potentially more of a security risk than a UK company. If the investigation goes ahead I suppose it could tie our money up a lot longer than the current 30th May payment date.

Fabricating their own GaN on silicon wafers might also be of interest to IQE holders but in a less positive way.
