I’m like you as bought at 590 and feel I should’ve sold when bid announced but held due to historic highs then 476 then 423 then 381 but only small amounts so average still around £1 above current level and have to hold for target price mentioned in other posts of 550

I wasn’t brace enough to have a final go at 357 but don’t want to be that gambler who keeps doubling down and doesn’t know when to quit

At my level it’s about hoping the management have sorted problems and overhang of Woodford shares eventually flushed through as I’ve not enough capital to day trade and frankly not enough skill

Don’t have level 2 do wonder if very small volume of orders at the price as few small sells knocks the share but maybe it’s found a level at 350 given yield and fundamentals if it can maintain H1 performance?

Yes and much better market than I was expecting after yesterday’s DJI fall

Dow down 3% FTSE future down 1.75% I’m bracing myself for the possibility of PFG breaching 355 if fundamentals mean nothing

Appreciate this isn’t a positive comment to make on such a constructive BB so I’m hoping I’m wrong and others with more knowledge will point out the potential for upside

Yes I’m not a sophisticated investor but it looks as though there’s a bet against him and he’s toxic
It might ultimately lead to a strong post Woodford bounce but I really don’t know how Brexit and a shrinking domestic economy might affect impairments on loans to near prime borrowers
Fortunately I’ve not bet the ranch on this one but am well out of the money though sadly my pension will be eroded by expected falls in the market

Me too Dow just opened 300 points down over worries 10 year bond yield below 2 year apparently for first time since 2007 and a signal for recession for reasons I don’t understand but suffice to say yes the SP is down again and if it gets much cheaper I may buy one last time in the hope the company isn’t going to say it got its sums wrong on profit forecast!!

Bit of a bounce in past hour TG

Based on Motley Fool post after recent results PFG yield just hit 7.5% on prospective dividend of 27p and a PE of 7.2 on prospective earnings so either something isn’t right with these assumptions, the market doesn’t care about fundamentals (often) or there’s a technical reason I can’t fathom like betting against Woodford to force him to sell or just panic

I wouldn’t dare recommend buying and admit I last bought at 381 trying to average down from quite a high price I should’ve sold at with hindsight and made a small gain after the NSF bid pushed the shares over £6 so I’m probably in for the long haul

I’m not a sophisticated shareholder but am enjoying this BB as there’s a lot of constructive comment and remarkably little negativity given the parlour state of the SP

I still have belief this company is sound but hope the fall is subject to technical factors as without news it’s an act of faith on my part to watch my paper loss approach four figures

Huge bias towards buys while shares fall again

Maybe some technical reason that MM can allow price to fall until equilibrium reached where many small buyers will match a large sale?

Thanks Theborn I realise got the ex div price logic wrong but noticed big sale uncrossing trade at end of day moved it to a net sale position and sure enough another big fall

Is it anything to do with the shares going ex div this week? I also hold STJ and note both it and PFG seem to fall whenever Wall St is down but I’m as fed up as the others who post on here as every time I buy to average down the shares fall beneath me like the floors of the WTC !!

Not dared to calculate my average but it’s probably 495 with last but at 387 so it’ll be a long climb back unless I risk taking more. Going x div next Thursday so maybe there’ll be a technical rally but after that either Woodford effect needs to wash through or earnings picture needs to become clearer
Either way it’s going to be a long wait for me!

I’ll buy more today though wished I had this morning to slowly reduce my average but view this as a long term investment! Isn’t that what they call a short term one that went wrong???

Could Woodford have sold more? Big sale trade at end of the day MM could’ve moved price in anticipation?

Followed by a bit of 113,708 so it’s hard to know what is going on but I’m considering buying a small amount more after Shore Capital increased their target price but DYOR usual disclaimer about this not being a recommendation
