Couple of big sale trades at 3.15 but looks like shares moving between big holders and may see profit taking from small investors who got in well below £4 but not me I’m holding for longer term

Don’t know why so quiet but just found this board as active on another share chat on LSE

5+% move today will scour press tomorrow for a reason but shares crashed after poor first half and so could be dead cat bounce or value buying at this level or maybe relief no deal might be less likely??

So DJI up over 400 points and STJ my only other share (not relevant I know) is up 5% but PFG down 2 and I wasn’t even planning to buy any today though I didn’t buy STJ yesterday so it makes sense for that to have gone up

I think it’s been eloquently explained on these pages that it’s now a long term wait and hope for the SP to reflect apparent fundamentals so I’m going to lie low watch and wait Remember Remember the 7th November

No you’re bang on I was just thinking maybe I should let you know when I plan to sell some as the price would invariably rise!! Sadly I may buy one more time so will give you warning as after that the price should start to recover ??

As far as I can see it’s just a statutory disclosure requirement to allow shareholders to calculate their % holding and whether they have to disclose exceeding certain thresholds

If shares are held in treasury it will affect the number that is used to divide the shareholding by to determine % holding

Thresholds are 5% 10% 15% and so on and disclosures need to be made within 4 working days

Doesn’t necessarily mean something going on as far as I’m aware but maybe something to keep an eye on

Good and there it was I thought because I’d bought some PFG yesterday at 389.9 I’d put my curse on the share price once again

I just keep trying to think prospective PE, dividend yield and cover and hopefully it’ll come good eventually ??

I assume volatility is going to be de rigeur for some time but while not recommending a buy on these pages I’m going to keep accumulating in a small way and pin my hope on there being some cheer on 7 November ??

Companies sometimes publish financial diaries or the website dividend Max might be worth a look
I agree with Theborn that it’d be good to see announcement on Money barn FCA review but maybe we’ll have to wait until at least 7th Nov ??

Agree only a professional could risk trading this share as it’s volatility and the number of factors influencing price make it too risky for me at least
I’m probably going to add a small amount at this level and keep my average falling but missed a selling opportunity when the price spiked after NSF bid announced which has left me with part of my holding at too high a price to easily counter
A long term investment is a short term one gone wrong they say? I’m that guy

My other small share holding is STJ but they’re well down considering they go ex div tomorrow
I haven’t checked WS futures so wonder if there’s a big fall coming which those share tends to follow.
As regards PFG what you say about Woodford makes sense
It’s tricky though as if he can hold past results I assume his shareholding will remain in doldrums and if people assume he has to sell in the meantime it’s also going to knock it
I’ve concluded it’s too risky to trade but might go back for a few more then stay away but continue to read posts up to 7 November

My euphoria was destined to be short lived
Finally decided I really don’t know what’s going on with PFG

OK I’m officially putting the commentator’s curse on PFG now but it’s pleasing to watch the price continue to rise today at least albeit on low volume and so far roughly equal buys and sells

I’m guessing but expect there’ll be a few bumps on the road for a while yet but at least we’ve seen the first appreciable gain for a while. I’m in for the long term but just maybe I’m just a little less despondent than last week about my holding and look forward to seeing more posts on this over coming weeks and months

My paper loss just got smaller!!

Just under £1m PFG sold so might be Woodford so will look out to see if notifiable SP steady so weighing up other posts as be nice to drive my average down further below 500p being talked about

I’m sorely tempted to pick up a few more at this level or just below gambling on good year’s results and solid Q3 but know it’s nothing more than naked speculation

Have we any idea about Woodford holding now or when the next disclosure of it is due to be reported to market? I suppose until it’s nil the market will see shares are going to be sold?
