Well Brent crashed through $62 like a hot knife so 1350 probably won’t hold

I don’t have a clue but I think I’m going to wait for a day at least where there is no fall before buying another 250 shares to possibly sell on a bounce and reduce my average cost

Seeing Brent May 21 contract now hit $62.00

Maybe best thing to do is watch oil futures and factors affecting its price as RDSB correlates very well as Boyobach analysis shows but DYOR and GLA

Thanks Boyobach I probably should’ve said OP overdone rather than SP and at $62.60 proportionately SP of 1357 would be indicated which is only 15p off where we stand
Your 20p rule of thumb is something I’ll adopt over the current range and I’ll look to pick up a few once the price stops falling on a daily basis

In answer to your question I’d only be able to add relatively small increments so while obviously the cheaper the price the better we are probably only talking pence on the average but of course the larger the holding the more gain for every uptick plus of course extra dividend earnings v interest not earned in the bank

I can’t recall who on this BB was hoping to pick up some more at 1380 but much to my surprise RDSB has fallen past that as OP declines

Hopefully a buying opportunity and the concern is overdone but boy did I miss the signs that 1518 was overdone!

Fingers crossed as saw rise on AMGO will tread the boards there to see if anyone knows why

FCA clearance and a crystallisation of the liability in line with expectations and the company has huge potential and the shares will fly. Otherwise I’d be worried there’s be any recovery for the ordinary shareholders as I’ve seen plenty of these (TCG springs to mind) but I’m holding tight and hoping for positive news GLA

I’ve currently got 2,000 RDSB and will recompute my average cost based on divi due next Monday as I’m looking at both income and capital side - I overpaid a bit on last addition and also sold and bought back a slice at a bet cost last time around but am mostly in at 10s 11s and 12s so well in profit aiming to hold most for a year and up to half for 2-3 if I can
Am enjoying this share and just wished I’d had the borage of my conviction to bet the ranch at 850
My partner is sitting on large cash deposits and has a lot more liquidity than I did back then but to be fair to her she’s too risk averse ever to have agreed to that suggestion and so continues to earn zero % on her deposits. Time will tell which of us was the wiser :-)

I was hoping to pip 1400 and they’re now recovering at 1417 with Brent flat just over $64
I’ve a similar 12 m target but maybe should’ve realised they’d run too far along with oil which at $70 was overbought on back of technical factors such as OPEC+ holding cuts while demand was obviously going to fall as COVID rises and vaccine uptake stalls
Long term £18-£20 is feasible once demand returns with maybe more of dividends rise significantly off back of debt reduction target being achieved and cashflow after capex commitments allows

Difficult to know what to do as SP obviously upset by PFG update and possibly AMGO FCA investigation so probably going to hold but not risk more exposure

Might be opportunity missed but GLA and above all DYOR as the whole sector is mired in uncertainty given the need for sub prime lending is indisputable but the FCA seem to be floundering in terms of their response and so dangerously unpredictable in terms of their potential actions
