Shel seems to be hovering around 19.25x $OP so 2205 v $114.75 which would be interesting if it didn’t move down relatively and OP hit $130!

I’m not buying or selling at this level having bought back at a relatively high average to be in st £16.26 average overall but we’ll down from that on my core holding of 1,500 shares though part of me thinks I should be putting the ranch on this share if it were to achieve £26 in next 12m as dividend yield should remain well ahead of interest rates

I’ll keep looking at your charts and try to educate myself on what’s affecting OP other than global demand

I’m nowhere near as savvy as you but could it be as simple as the disconnect in dividend yield that Shel represents as an alternative to other oil majors. It’s naive of course as a good dividend doesn’t compensate for a concurrent fall in SP but the ratio of price to Brent is holding consistent at 18.25-18.5 it seems so at quite a discount to MA

Recovery in OP just now has bounced Shel back towards £21 but I don’t have enough cash to make money on an 80p move alas nor a deep understanding of where OP are going from which to predict future SP moves but yield must play part in keeping it somewhere around £20 or 4%

B*gger should’ve sold at £24.50 but will have to hold now unti returns to similar level though I’m still in money

That’s very insightful as I’d totally forgotten about dividends though I guess this is where a high inflation rate can dent the present value of future dividends received in perpetuity
(think there’s a formula for that) but assuming dividends are growing it definitely needs to be factored in.
I’m pretty relaxed as will probably hold half my shares long term and sell the rest when the price reaches a point I can mop up the CGT allowance - thanks again and good luck with your own shareholding

I’m on £16.26 including recent purchases having been £14.24 on 1,500 core holding due to adding 250 at 2356 and 100 each at 2183 and 2042 so first buy was a bit naive to say the least but was looking to buy more for longer term objective of getting up to £26-£28 range maybe even Credit Suisse £30 target price though that feels a bit ambitious now
Holding 1,950 shares should give me a nice quarterly dividend and might sell elsewhere to round up though transaction costs on small buys suggests I might overshoot long term target of owning 2,000 shares

GLA I know some of you are in nice and low but some historic holders higher up but whichever you are when the price got to 2450 hopefully you made good

Im going to read annual report in detail and wait for next quarter update with eager anticipation-DYOR and I look forward to seeing your next chart Boyobach as well as reading other informed commentary on this BB by the regular contributors

Maybe this should be viewed as an opportunity to buy some more Shell as forecast yield probably in the 4%+ range given strength of $ and policy of gradual dividend increase
Admittedly the risk premium is shrinking as interest rates in US and U.K. are rapidly advancing but any improvement in global demand would surely cause SP to pop like a stretched elastic band? Ratio of SP to OP is going to be interesting in days and weeks ahead

BNPL woes might be denying sentiment but this is a good company surely and at least a third undervalued

Here’s hoping - I’m holding but will perhaps not add despite rock bottom price as in Shell also and having to hold as they’ve fallen back lately along with general market

Dow and Nasdaq had a bit of a rally
Will be interesting to see if She’ll moves back closer to 30MA tomorrow - it must literally be generating a ton of cash this quarter and will have CV plenty in reserve to meet its WFT share buy back and dividend obligations so I’m expecting debt to fall further which should de risk business and maybe help make it more attractive to the pension funds and other PIs maybe?
