I must be dreaming.

The dollar has had such a long run upwards, hasn't it?
So many currencies, commodities, businesses and ordinary people will benefit when it reaches its peak and turns round. Precious metals will be just one area heading upwards on that day.

Silver has led the precious metals today, now up 2%.
Much too early to get hopeful, but it has been a relief to see precious metals in the green these past few days, instead of red.

I wouldn't mind having one of those old licences, Dickie3, even tho I couldn't do anything with it.
My Dad metal-detected in Kent for years and found a good few things, but never gold. Over the years as he got thinner, both his gold rings slid off his fingers never to be seen again . . . the Earth is harsh, even in Kent.
Respect to the men on the ground in the Aussie outback: if we make a buck it will be due to their nerve.

Looking at the photo yesterday on Alien Metals' twitter which someone called a holiday snap.
'Unforgiving' is the word I would use for that terrain. The pic tells me there is something wonderful in the soil to pull sensible guys out there.

I agree tacit, lots of causes for the US dollar's rise and Putin's aggression is one; interest rates another, and going back a bit, Covid a big one.

The US is announcing another interest rate rise today. Most stocks are pushed downwards by that, Bitcoin too. Gold is picking up today but was severely shoved downward by the coming rate rise. Only the dollar thrives when interest is rising.
We will have our day.

I agree the manipulation of Aim shares up and down to catch out amateurs is a nightmare. I've been fleeced many times.
But there are still the days when the magic happens and you happen to be sitting on the right company. (Then the trick is to collect a portion, which is really hard to do but essential. I haven't pulled it off yet.)

Yes a heads up on which way the day traders are going to send the share would be brill!

An exciting day Wednesday up over 8p: I asked for reasons for the rise, and maybe Geng called it right:
"This is just todays trader fun stock. They cycle around the 5-10p stocks - 20-40% rise and then back to below where it started."
After sinking straight back down towards 6p yesterday, I think maybe you hit the nail on the head Geng. I like to know what's happening, whether up or down.

Geng, maybe you're right, it's short-term traders having fun with EUA today. Well I hope they forget to send it down when they've had their fun.
And for the Ukrainians, I would love to believe that Russia is getting ready to leave . . . just don't know about that tho.

Loving the increase, but I would also love to know what's happening.

Could this be due to Ukraine's advances? Seems a bit too hopeful to hope that the war is winding down already. What do you think?
