but I can't help getting a little excited every time silver has a good day (4.2% up right now).

One thing's for sure, President Xi has one eye on the price of iron ore all the time. He can make an announcement that scuppers the price one day (allowing Chinese firms to buy a load on the cheap), then retract the announcement a week later. And why not? Harsh times, harsh measures.

There is one beneficial side to a lower iron ore price: the lower it goes, the better the Chinese govt will like it and the more it will buy.

A nice 3.2% rise for silver this morning.

I think it's too early to call the bottom, but the fact is, this share has stuck close to 0.5 since 29th September. That's impressive when so many companies have spent October sinking.

I was taught very strictly not to borrow what you can't pay back, Chellybaby. Sounds like G Brandon crossed his fingers that the money would be there to make the repayments. A very poor show from the head of a company.
Better things to come from the new CEO I hope.

Yes platinum leading the precious metals today.
Looking at the price charts over the past 5 yrs or 10 yrs, the PM rises of the past few weeks are barely visible . . . but I'm satisfied just to see green each day instead of red. It's a start.

I'm with you on Elizabeth Hill, Lyndon, it's good to have a silver asset in the background.

EVERY building project takes longer than planned and costs more than planned. I'm guessing that mining projects are the same.
So far with this Hanc0ck iron ore project, progress is slow but everything suggests that success is possible. In these tight and nasty times, I feel lucky to have a chance at making some money here eventually.

Maybe gold will dip into the green this afternoon and pull silver with it. That might help keep our share price over 0.5 for the weekend.

Any ideas why Eurasia is the only company in the green as far as the eye can see?

I'm with you Normbeef, in these harsh times it would be an amazing achievement if Alien Metals manages a small profit next year. The super-strong dollar is just one boot kicking small (and big!) companies around right now.
