Still in the blue! I reckon it's the New Year, China opening up, interest rate rises slowing down so that investors can invest away from the banks at last.
Plus Alien Metals approaching iron ore mining.

Sorry, I meant $100/tonne for iron ore.
My mind is on precious metals as usual: gold is doing v well, at an 8 month high.

I expect the Chinese govt to step forward regularly and announce a plan to reduce the iron ore price: they are very powerful, and the price will drop when they work hard to make it drop.
But I'm hopeful the Chinese won't get it down under $100/oz in the coming several months.

So stocks and commodities in the red today because the US Fed announced yesterday they don't plan to cut interest rate this year.
Everyone knew that already.
Even when the US govt has got nothing new to say, prices shoot about. It's pretty aggravating.

Silver up 2%, leading the precious metals again.
So the dollar has bounced back this afternoon, pushing down shares and commodities.
I think the dollar's days are numbered.

Walls, I have no idea why the UK is so slow to add solar panels. I know our sun hours are low, but not that low! Once panels are paid for, it's free electricity all the way.

UFO shares were at 0.4p at the end of November. At 0.5p today, that's a 25% rise. They have turned around along with the rising gold and silver price and the continuing strength of the iron ore price.

A steady driver is one of the things that brought me back to UFO last year: I'm disappointed there's no fuss made of Bill Brodie Good on the Alien website or on the Alien twitter account.
I understand the management want a smooth appearance for investors, so they are playing the change down.
But personally, I would like to play it up: good luck to you Bill, may you find whatever you look for next.

I wish Big Bill Brodie Good the best of luck in his next adventure . . . and I hope his shares in UFO grow beyond his wildest dreams.
