Hellooooo Dickie. I hope all Aliens area little fatter than they were last week. Nasdaq yesterday said iron ore trading prices in China were holding steady between $112 and $119 a tonne. Nice news about the Chinese lifting some travel restrictions.
As you say Cahus, finishing the year in style. It's been a grim time on the stock market since Covid hit, this is my first share to go a bit crazy: only peanuts on it, but still fun! Merry Christmas, and good luck all.
RE: RNS - Director share purchase22 Dec 2022 08:59
My hopes for a steady rise (2 steps up, 1 down etc) have quickly been taken over by delight to see so much investment interest in this company. Go UFO. (Thanks Mozzie, I just looked at Sprott for the first time: how much does he look like Robert de Niro?!)
Share price up 6%, I wonder what has put a spring in UFO's step? This from Reuters yesterday may have helped: "LONDON, Dec 20 (Reuters) - The dollar's biggest bull run in 40 years may have finally come to a screeching halt, now that the world's last dovish central bank - the Bank of Japan - has finally relaxed its iron grip on long-term interest rates."
The RNS makes sense to me. Most explorers never get the dreamt-of metal onto trucks. It's in everybody's interest that the UFO staff succeed. Then we all win.
5x5Croire posted me a link to the Lone Ranger theme tune yesterday afternoon: thank you 5x5, that made me smile. Sometime next year or the next, when UFO is up to its observation deck in iron ore, I hope silver will hit $30/oz and they will hear my "Hi Ho" in the outback.
Four weeks above 0.4, it would be a great shame to dip under it today. On Wednesday the US Fed pointed to a long stretch of high interest rates next year . . . which everyone knew about already! Nothing has changed this week. There is no reason for the red everywhere. (Anyone who thinks there's a problem with UFO should look around the stock market.) C'mon UFO.
Forrest, the people who sold today might not be individual Aim investors . . . they might be traders who jump onto every miner and explorer when precious metals are blue and jump off when they're red. The drop in PMs today will be temporary: interest rate rises are slowing down, the tide is turning, metals and UFO are the way to go.
