Yamana gold this week announced a takeover from a company on the new York exchange for all shares in the company which would be listed with existing on the new York exchange. I decided to sell at 530 as again this is in my Barclays portfolio and couldn't be hassled with moving it. It was a good profit so I'm not complaining.

Barclays do not offer foreign exchanges on there platform. When I spoke to them about this about a year ago , they said it was something they will offer one day but not yet. If you Google brokers or trading platforms that deal on the tsx it will list them. I find hatgreaves good as anything over 20k is at 0.25percent exchange rate charge which is better than many. But everyone has there own preference.

One thing that will be good because no doubt when the deal is done and new shares issued there will be a bit of profit taking. Yes most platforms/brokers and so on will accept them in a crest form but can you trade them. As I said, I have a few different types of trading accounts and one of them is Barclays, they will accept tsx in my portfolio but I am unable to trade them.

One thing I have learnt from stock markets is there is no (no brainers). Yes you are correct if the deal was to go threw now and you could immediately sell on tsx it would be a good profit. But wait to see nearer the time. Don't forget transfer your Sdx share to a platform that can deal on tsx can take between one to four weeks depending who you deal with. I cannot see another buying coming personally, but you never know.

You will need to speak to advisor if your shares are in a pension. All my accounts are trading platforms. Tnz looks to me that it has ran out of steam, slowly it will come back down assuming no news to change it and Sdx should reach just under 10 in the run up to the deal.

When the deal was announced the calculations valued the merger of Sdx at 10p. Tnz will align with Sdx nearer the time. Some platforms do accept tsx but are unable to trade on foreign exchanges. For instance I have smart investor account with Barclays and they have accepted foreign share in crest form in the past threw mergers or buyouts and so on, but the stupid thing is then I have to transfer the equity to Hargreaves to trade it. So ask your broker/platform to find what they can do.

Illogical. Your not Spock from star treck are you. Forget Tnz share price for now, as probably nearer the time of deal the sp will align. I have to admit I purchased more shares recently as see the risk going down. Only thing I continue to say is the deal is not great for Sdx holders being not cash and the offer only 10p and trading on tsx.

Short positions are looking good for now until deal is done. Any downturn in oil and this falls.dont forget nothing changed for the time being . Cne won't fall unless the deal falls threw. So don't expect short positions to run for the door yet.

From what I have read so far the isn't much in it. Slightly better for cairn energy, as they merge there shareholders will have a better share return. Even if there shareholders don't see that they should benefit more than Tullow. Going forward as one unit Tullow should be a lot stronger but unfortunately the share price will not go to heights of £2 any more.

Why are a bigger company than Capricorn, but it seems to me we are giving a large portion of the company away in the merger to reduce debt as Capricorn don't produce as much but are better financed. Seems so far better for Capricorn. Might be wrong will continue to look

Well this explains no sp movement. Not to sure until I look into this what it means for current holders, will have to look into this company. Hope it's not a dilution on our side.

Well I see, oil fell this afternoon and so does Tullow. No upside just down until things here change. I will probably go short on this stock now, if oil falls back to 110 there could be my 10percent trade. Will look in morn to see where oil is going.

Oil was to fall to 100 per barrel , Tullow will be in the 40s. Hmmm share price doesn't have a lot to do with the oil price. Again upside capped due to bad decisions downside open to any falls. Current trend is oil and gas. Big money and good returns.

Big risky. You have hit the nail on the head with this stock. I agree totally and others should listen. Has to be treated as a long term investment maybe 3 years to see a good return, as medium and short price will range. I was trading this share up until recently as the price action is very limited now, perhaps even to the downside.

By the way if it does go threw, I use Hargreaves as there exchange rate is 0.25 over 20000 which does help.

Forget the tenaz share price for the time being as it is insignificant for now. When the deal is done or getting near the true tenaz sp will appear. Trading is all about future pricing not for today but for tomorrow. I think it is 50/50 if this deal goes threw. Approx 50 percent of the company is owned by large holders the other 20 by waha and the rest in free float. Personally I don't think this deal should be done and the existing management ousted out at the agm but I don't think that will happen. For the time being tenaz investors think they are getting a great deal, and they are correct.

I have dealt before with companies that have left the uk exchange and gone to exchanges like tsx or asx and so on, one thing I would say especially with a smaller companies is that it is harder to sell stock with small amount of buyers on exchanges that are one eight the size of ours. I am trying not to be negative but can only imagine that if this deal does go threw there is going to be mass selling on the tsx with profit taking and waha looking for the door. So for me I see this rise as temporary for now with news of maybe a cheap buy for tenaz, but sp comes down nearer the time. I hope I'm wrong and it continues up .
