Nice to see oil back above $41 this morning after yesterday's sharp pull back. Hoping we at least hold out SP position today, and maybe peep above the 40p mark and stay there.
Hard one to call today, but hopefully sentiment and volume stay high.
GL.
Persian, you literally took the words out of my mouth! Brokers ALL have an agenda, and that is to screw the PI.
Always think and do the opposite of a broker and you'll do very well.
Once minute they're saying $35, the next $70 and under supply. It's all smoke and mirrors to blind people and fill their coffers.
If we do retrace, so be it. If you're long then no issue whatsoever.
38.17 I've got as close on ADVFN?
HateMMs, not been so bad today but there has been some notable underhand comments, particularly from Mr Brent aka Laidback (who's back on filter).
Anyway, back on topic. Shorts reduced to 7.98% last Friday. Be interesting to see if this reduced further today, with tomorrow's update.
No issues with people's strategy, whether that be short, long, trading. Each to their own. It's the selling for a profit then immediately bashing the share that p!$ses me off. No need for it and puts off new investors.
Not selling a single share here. People can deramp all they want, not interested.
Don't forget, these were 22p just over a week or so ago. We can complain with the SP adding 14p in that space of time lol.
Blue skies ahead. GL all invested.
Why does this happen? It happens to me regularly - frustrating!
That is a lingering thought in the back of my mind, I must admit. However I don't feel it would be as bad as the first. Companies have had to adapt to social distancing etc. to work in new ways.
Also, many economies cannot survive at POO this price. Just look at the super power SA having to triple VAT and Customs Duty to offset the POO drop. They need $60+ oil so that's where we will be sooner rather than later.
Lots more other factors in our favour too. Very good advice though to cover yourself with a stop loss.
...this could well be the last chance to get in under 40p for those looking to invest. POO is only going up, and with that TLW is only making more money.
As myself and others have pointed out, shorts still need to close further. New CEO arriving in a few weeks. Uganda could be finalised any day now and we may also get an update on Kenya. Sentiment returning, just look at the volume being traded. Also could get auto entry into the Ftse250 soon. Lots of positives here.
Aside from any global disaster or POO crash, this is only going one direction.
Yep, it's happening. Become too predictable now.
Excellent so far. 44m shares traded and not even 10am. This coukd go up another notch from here when the yanks wake up.
Jeez, the fun just got sucked out of the room. Like any of us have any influence to the share price, contrary to the popular belief of the conspiracy theorists.
It's a bit of fun, nothing more.
Investor gonna miss the opening bell at this rate, as he'll be asleep by then after updating the list until early hours! LMAO.
I may as well get involved then....'Ask for more, 34'.
Steve, if you look at the last 5 days of trading there's a trend around 11am where the SP pulls back to near or at the day's low.
I've mentioned it before on here, I don't know why this happened. Maybe MM games or some algorithm, who knows.
First thing you're going to pay a high price if the SP reacts the way we are all hoping.
That could be one hell of a big round!
Any of those predictions you've collated Investor will do just fine by close tomorrow........apart from the 28p of course.
I just hope we aren't all left disappointed, otherwise this board will look extremely green!
GL everyone who's in for the ride.
I'd be ecstatic with 40p by the end of the week, but I'm keeping my feet planted and expectations firmly in check.
I believe we will in all likelihood go to auction first thing. Likely open at 32p range, spike up as everyone tries to jump on between 8am-9am, usual run up to 11am pullback/tree shake, then hopefully a strong afternoon and close blue at whatever price we get.
Oil I believe will push to $45 by the end of the week or at least have a crack at it.
As for the price by Friday close, a lot can happen in a week globally so if it's higher than where we are now and we have a nice gap above 30p to act as support I'll be happy.
Conservative yes, but reduces any disappointment for me.
£32 and I'll be buying my own island somewhere ;)
Go time on Monday :D
