Excellent update. We all know this moves sharply up or down on very little volume, so if people recognise the potential of this development, as well as the wider market, we could have a big squeeze here.
Lots of Covid plays have flown just on speculation alone, without any updates or facts. So no reason for this not to as we have actual facts and evidence of a product.
GL all.
*no means
I do have a keen interest in charts, but one thing they cannot predict is news. Charts can predict trends and swing opportunities, but anyone saying charts can account for material news is deluded.
Swazers for example this morning is giving it the Barry Mcguigan (big one) saying he predicted AA's price this morning on Twitter.....gimme a break, unless he's had insider info.
News is usually the driver of material moves in an SP, despite what some chartists would argue. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking TA as I use it myself, but charts are by now means fool proof.
That 1.5m was an Uncrossing Trade. Google it. Neither a buy or a sell.
Filter, folks! The Dope does the same thing on multiple threads. Long since filtered him, but easy to see he's over here based on other people's comments.
Ignore the noise and let's look forward to the coming weeks and months.
GL all.
...to those who are staying in, and genuinely mean that. Thanks to all the great posts by Slift, Tornadotony as well as many others.
It's just one big swing too far for me today. Got out at 24p with a small profit. Not going to slate the share now as I still think it will come good. I'm just playing the odds of getting back in cheaper. If I can't and it bounces then it's my own tough luck.
GL everyone.
Didn't think we'd ever see these levels again. Getting dangerously close to my 22p avg now. Guaranteed if I sell now it'll be up tomorrow and into next week.
Problem we have is when will the bleeding stop?
I've held all through the other big pull backs, but this price action is just ridiculous.
Hoping this will turn soon too, guys. Just got to stick with it I think. My avg is 47p and I have a sizeable holding here....so it's not pretty viewing atm!
All the best.
*needs/material. Bloody phone!
Where's clangers? Someone need to have a word!
Something materail needs to be announced here to stem the bleeding. This is depressing watching an almost daily slide in the SP. No chance of seeing 50p if we can't even breach and stay above 40p.
The chart is in a downtrend too. Hoping this will turn soon.
Strange price action. Very volatile. Like AMGO atm! Lol. No idea why as it's usually quite stable on the price.
Very happy with that RNS overall. No nasty surprises as such, and plenty of positives in there - particularly the production numbers. Almost every operation exceeded their estimates. Very happy with 2021 hedging too, that could be worth its weight in gold as there is no certainty oil will be $50+ through next year.
Impairment is not an issue, and could be expected under the circs.
Overall seems Tullow have performed better than ever under Covid. Hopefully it gets a good market reaction.
'One thing I do know is that with several vocal and unpleasant posters seeming to have moved on, this BB is a much more pleasant place to be!'
That comment was short lived.......another t.w@t on filter.
No worries, MF76. I bought my first tranche here at 10p and have added several other tranches along the way, all bar one tranche at 30p were well below the current level. So with an avg of 22p, there is room for manoeuvre....I just hope it doesn't go there! Lol.
GL, mate.
MF76 I thought this share was traded on SETS, so MMs aren't so involved here? Either way, something is frustratingly not lining up for some reason. Maybe it's the high short positions putting people off, who knows?
Saying that, PMO have fallen further recently in percentage terms even though we shouldn't really compare the two.
My target has always been (and still is) £1 too, but whatever is going on here is shocking. How the hell can we be at similar SP levels when oil was on its ar$e months ago, to today where it's $44? It makes no logical or mathematical sense to me.
I just hope there aren't any nasty surprises tomorrow otherwise I won't be looking at the SP come 8am :(
GL all for tomorrow.
.....these levels were well and truly behind us I must be honest. Seems like we are getting much more of a beating over here in comparison to other oilers. I just hope the trading update has some positives, otherwise it looks like we are going back to that bloody 24-26p range we were stuck in for ages.
Still holding for the medium term, but time to batten down the hatches for a bit I think.
GL all.
Similar time frame to me. This should be a lot higher within that time. The point I was trying to make is that going to the 'moon', 'orbit' '50p' remarks are misleading to any new investors, thinking this is going to shoot up suddenly to 50p+.
It can move 15%+ in a day for sure, but there is not much love for this share sentiment-wise atm. Especially with the general market currently being bipolar.
It will hit 50p at some point. Even a blind squirrel will find the occasional nut I guess....
Been saying for weeks not to listen to him. Some of us understand the market, and 50p is a long way off unless we get material news or lots of general market sentiment. I'm averaged at 47p here, so it's in my interest for it to recover to the recent highs. I just don't think it will very soon, and I am just being realistic.
If I corrects soon then I'll eat my words and will be the first to admit I was wrong.
GL all nevertheless.
Great recovery today with that news. Should gap up further tomorrow.
Glad I held after buying in last week at 8.7 :)
