The drop in the share price thus giving an historic dividend yield of 10% shows some scepticism by investors that the current divi won't be maintained, nothing more, nothing less.
In the present situation that is a reasonable assumption, trouble is these things can be self fulfilling.
A divi is entirely at the discretion of the board and my guess is that any consumer facing business can point to the C word and blame the virus for their decision.
Once cut it often takes a long time to be reinstated at the previous level, if they are minded to save money this is the perfect excuse, the usual phrase is to go to a progressive divi, ie a specified % of free cash flow, or whichever yard stick they choose to use.
