Something's brewing that's for sure. What though? Half year results are due out in 3 weeks, 5th August. People do tend to buy into a share 3/4 weeks in advance of results if something good is expected so fingers crossed. IMO this share has been undervalued in recent months and pretty well overlooked. I'm looking mid 70's plus in the short/mid term snd a lot more long term.

As potential takeover targets I am currently holding, in addition to SPI, CHL, HAWK, PRV, BG., NSR & UKC. Even if just one comes off it will be interesting!

Do you mean watching in terms of takeover targets or in general?

I had SWG at 75p and that became a takeover target. Sold out at 125p and look at it now! I think I'll hold on this one as I reckon it's a 80p share at least - without takeover talk.

It's certainly looking very healthy on here today but I can't Google up any reason for it apart from Gatmore's increased holding notified on Friday. Any views?

Anyone care to put a price on the bid(s) received? Interim statement said they were online to meet market expectations, (just under 19m, I think), x 10 to be conservative, divided by shares in issue of 73.6m = £2.58. Bit OTT don't you think?

Due out tomorrow. What makes you think that someone, somewhere, for some reason (of course, without inside information) is expecting them to be good? 6.55% rise today. Perhaps they are just gambling on them being good?

Makes good reading doesn't it. The 2 Director buys in early March said it all. SP hasn't looked back since. What price are you looking at?

Let's hope this recovery continues. I got in for 10k at 42p. I went for an interview with them several years ago and they were really positive and motivated about their future. The management certainly knew what they wanted, where they were going and how the expected to get there. There more in this yet.

Trading Announcement due on Monday 12th. Can we expect a positive outlook after the recent good news?

I still can't find any reason in news for this rise so have to assume that being 6th April and new funds available in ISA's then everyone is buying.

I reckon this will roll between 535.00 to 560.00 until the details of the RI are announced. At a 40% discount they'd have to make a rights pig's ear of the deal to push it lower than this. I bought in on my ISA at 486 hoping the RI would not go through until the new tax year so that's OK at the mo. If they play it right this will bring me in a few thousand in profit on the SP alone without the cheap shares and potential SP as a bigger company with AIG in tow. I've a stop loss at 510 so can't lose now. GL
