Hi Max, I definitely don't advise averaging down. I have done it myself in the last couple of weeks though . If we get to 50p it would significantly reduce loses. This time last year I would say it would be mad to average down on this share. Right now I only consider it a risky stragey.

Hi Max, generally I would not recommend averaging down, but on this occasion we have 3 good things working for us:
1 We seem to be able to maintain an sp above 7p, that is we can maintain a support level for the first time in years.
2 We have an expected pipeline of news and updates
3 Because of the recent licencing agreements ValiRx has a potential income stream to fund product development rather than just relying on constant share issue which caused so much bad feeling.
Averaging down remains a risky strategy, but given the above it's definitely worth considering. GLA.

Where has this drop come from?

Mazik, I have been holding since 2012, my loss was as close to total as makes no odds. Generally I am against averaging down (unless its a safe investment, ftse 10, say), but I was tempted to put more into val (a smaller investment) and now only need 69p to break even. Still bit of a long shot but not totally mad (even if I don't break even I could reduce losses) . Having seen that Freddie and ValJu had done OK averaging down and things have changed for the better at valirx I thought it a risk worth taking.

Morning Freddie, Rightback. Great start to the day and unexpected. What did I say yesterday Freddie, not expecting news and buy on the dips lol. Wish I topped up yesterday now! I still don't think that makes much sense. In order to pass on an infection a person needs to be infectious. The whole ponit of a vaccination is to prevent someone getting infected, so little ponit administering a vaccine after infection. This leaves the issues of who would volenteer to be infected by something potentially lethal and the issue of effectiveness, that is if it was effective then it is even less probably that someone would volenteer to be infected . If it was designed I be merely disruptive it would be so much easier and less expensive to let loose a few people with seasonal colds/flu. There very well have been people spreading disease as discribed, but I think there is long way to go before that can be linked to a wider conspirsory theory.

I don't imagine current US riots offer much threat to the world economy, more concerned about ongoing covid issues. The only US focused concerns I have are related to what Trump can do to make the US even more of a pariah state and who he picks to have his next trade war with.

That's a bit mean spottie. There are bound to be loads of rumours, the important thing is what can be done to fix the problem. FInding fault and aportining blame is something you do when something comparatively trivial has happened.

Never saw any evidence that k9p was George, but if it is it still puts a smile on my face to think that the sp is still double what it was before he was osuted. Even more amusing to think that if he and Satu had listened to shareholders and put some of their money in they could have done well. George is just a losser.

I don't understand this drop? I thought the RNS was good news? I thought it was about jettisoning some old junk George snapped up without any clear idea of what to do with it. Cleared out some junk, refocused on core IP and now can get some royalties income. Is it really just a case that people think that the intital payment was too little? I thought George brought it from a failed company? How much do people think he paid for it?

There seems to be a general rise across the board today. Might still be a little early in the day to be sure, but it's looking like the news that the trading floor in the US is open again is news well received.

Eyeguy, it's definitely looks like the rot has treated and I am thinking of having another punt on Val. Given the residue value of my previous investment it is just like making a new investment in the same way that ValiRx seems like a new company after George and Satu left. I think I will still play safe though and balance it with an a 2nd investment in a nice steady ftse 100 company, one that pays dividends if there are any left paying dividends?! Just want to even out the risk a bit.

Eyeguy good ponit. Ulvr is always safe bet in a crisis. Athough it looks like a good price now I know that in reality it is only going to pay off a little better than bank interest. I think a little risk is required if anyone wants to make serious gains.
