I wonder if one of our excellent, friendly experts (Ian?) could help. I note that the Daily Telegraph warns that AIM shares “may be difficult to sell”.
As an easy example, if I own 100,000 shares and the Company is sold for £1 a share- how do I get my £100k?
Not jumping the gun - just curious.

Quite interesting that lamtree and 9inch have found a hymn sheet to sing from.

It's also rather 'strange' ,shall we say, that after 2 recent mentions of the dramatic failure (and quite serious losses by Matt and myself) of a Company called CTAG, lamtree suddenly introduces CTAG as an explanation of how "naughty" EUA have been- ie we're going down big time. I would much rather be guided by Ian's logic and trust that lam tree is simply 'avin a laugh. We shall see.

Cloudtag had no money, no product ,no longevity and no directors worth a jot. Are you saying That EUA is, after 24 years on AIM, in a similar position?
“Naughty” seems an inappropriate word in such serious circumstances. Children and animals are “naughty”. Company Directors are “fraudulent”, “criminal” or similar wouldn’t you say?

I feel your pain having been involved in CTAG too - nothing like -£65K mind you but a significant amount (to me). This is totally different bearing in mind the quality of Board members and the overall longevity of the Company - it was one of the AIM "originals" so if this is a scam, it's the longest one ever.
Another plus point is the quality of the assets which, even in these dire times are recovering dramatically in price. My last point is to consider the number of shares owned by Board Members (especially DS). Worst case scenario is that we'll mine ourselves which is not a bad option - just not what many of us want. Hang on in there Mate - the perfect storm could turn out to be a beautiful sunny day after all and I for one feel confident that it will do just that. Try for mortgage/loan "holidays" and see if the Bank will allow a loan to tide you over - then pay it off when EUA come home. GL.

I am asking a genuine question and wonder if you could explain this for me.
When a Company issues shares initially when going "public" ( often called a placing later), the initial purchaser owns a share of the Company(I have always assumed). Later on, when the shares are traded, the new buyer gives the seller a certain agreed amount per share. In this situation, the buyer now "owns" a percentage of the Company.
Were you suggesting that this is not the case?

I'm inclined to agree. Point is: this Company has, with no sensible explanation, whatever our investments are. This is very arrogant and the longer it goes on, the less planned it seems. It now appears that the suspension ( a serious business) is not 'voluntary' to help us, the SH.
Something is going on that we hope is positive. Of course it is great to be suspended when almost every other share is nosediving. That really does depend on a sale. Lots of posters are far too optimistic. Do you really think this is all under control???
