RE: But there could be a few more shorts open?13 Feb 2020 10:30
Shorting is a predatory activity that preys upon the weak and vulnerable. A fairly credible anonymous poster with a few posts to his/her name writes alarmist nonsense about financial misdeeds at the highest level or starts a nasty rumour about fraudulent behaviour and comments like "seen it all before" and panic forces the weak to sell and the shares and the SP tumbles quite randomly. "Thanks very much" says Mr Short and moves on to the next conquest.
Surely we invest in the fundamentals of a Company and, as long as they don't change for the worst, we keep our money invested until WE decide to cash in. All very rational and demonstrates Mr Buffet's famous comment about "patience".
This suspension is unnerving but unless a large group of Senior Company Execs who have purchased millions of shares rather than take a salary are proven to be stupid (they're not), then I'll stick with them and ignore people like "9 inch nail" (or whatever it was) who, with 20 odd posts, is just crudely trying to spread panic.
Hold Fast!!
