Oldtramp. Looking at this again,
Sub Coal Pellets will cost Uskmouth power station £4M/T
Whilst Coal is £70M/T
The Gj/£ comparison is 5Gj/£ for Sub Coal pellets and only 0.38Gj/£ for Coal or they can produce 13 x the energy of coal for the same price.
So the sub coal pellets are clearly much much cheaper than coal. Certainly based on UK figures.
Plus the N+P partnership will charge a gate fee per MT of waste greater than the cost of manufacturing the pellets, of which SIMEC will receive a percentage of the profit (assume 50%).
As I said, its a 'win win' and not only are the sub coal pellets cleaner than coal, resolve land fill issues they can also produce the 220Mw capacity at a fraction of the cost of coal.
