There are 2 distinct long anomalies at Meadows somewhere between 6-9km in length.

One is mainly granotoids the other is banded iron, so there are 2 distinct possibilities of gold forming here.

Gold hydrosulphides when hot and fluid meet banded iron the gold drops out of the solution and this mainly forms in the Dykes, veins and lodes. These could be 10m in width and very high grades. These are seen all over the gold field areas. It’s these Ggp are looking for and the MT survey will assist in locating these.

The other gold forming occurrence is when granotoids rise up and hits banded iron the gold also drops out of the solution.

The MT survey is going to be very revealing.

It’s picked up what could be the source of Gruyère 30km below the surface but it’s also picked up where the mineralisation is coming up from below at 3km down.

What about the anomaly at Scallywag, I’m excited to see what that has picked up he sounds confident on it.

The original referral as far as I can make out covered the pond additions plus the access road.

The latest referral covers the Stage 2 development which covers the starter mine including waste rock mound site clearance.

There are a number of environmental issues still to overcome from what I can make out.

Looks to me as they’ve taken the opportunity to clear all the paperwork issues during this pause in the development.

There’s a ridge in the basement rocks that has been located, this can be seen on the 3D graphics.

They are altering the decline route to enter this ridge, so there will be less Decline within the aquifer = less water initially.

The submission is for the complete mine or I should say starter mine Stage 2 development.

He said in that interview he expected further requests for info.

The existing ponds look dry at the moment so plenty of capacity.

We’ve already been told the water issue is not an immediate problem and again the RNS confirmed that.

“A further three evaporation ponds are required to be constructed and utilised in a staged manner, to manage dewatering requirements for development through the LCA. ”

Utilised in a staged manner , they will be built if required.

I think they will be built but whether they need all 3 is debatable.

Liners have been on site for nearly 11 months for 2 of the ponds so there’s no immediate need of the biggest of those ponds yet( it dwarfs the existing 3 ponds)

The remediation process isn’t putting the land back to how it was.

Filling holes of these magnitudes would be very problematic.

These will fill with water eventually.

The waste rock mounds, tailings lakes and leach pads are covered in a thin layer of top soil and seeded/ planted with indigenous species.

Testing and monitoring will happen years after the mine closes.

Whether the airport or the village will remain will be decided at some point.

The big expense is in removing the plant and remedying any toxic spillages.

The remedial work to tailings TSF8 have been completed, my assumptions from the satellite images look correct, ie there isn’t any reinforced concrete on this side of the dam. TSF7 the older larger circular lake is now going to be raised. From an earlier Newcrest submission this was looking to raise the height from 27m to 65m.

I don’t know if this is still the case but this will be a big operation whether it will require a reinforced wall I couldn’t say. It’s normally all done with clay and waste rock.

TSF 7&8 will eventually all be one huge lake.

Of the 6 mines being sold 2 of them are twice the NPV value of Telfer.

Telfer has about 12% of the total value, so that’s about $250m plus Havieron

That referral posted earlier definitely stopped any talk of Telfer being sold separately.

They’re completely entwined with each other now.

It also refers to Havieron ore being mined. This referral is for the whole package.

It will not be sold separately . Big load of paperwork hangover if they do.

The latest satellite images show the stockpile growing coming from the hoist. The other 2 conveyors from the 2 Declines do not seem to be stockpiling, it’s just coming from the hoist.

There’s a photo of these huge booms at the end of the conveyors dropping the ore on to the piles, they are way up the stockpiles are big.

Looks like they are still working on the dams, the last section they had dug looks as though it’s been concreted. That’s been disputed but that’s what it looks like from the sat image.

Thing with Scallywag they’ve been looking for Tier 1 anomalies, this is the closest they may get to one although they’ve added Rudall to Scallywag.

They may yet get back to Pearl and Swan but they’re not Tier 1 anomalies at present but they’re being fed from somewhere.
