You all know my feelings about Havieron, it’s such an exciting Ore body. Newcrest were rushing into it full blast because of Telfer running out of ore.

Ggp now do not need to rush it, they will be in control. I suggest you take a deep breath and let them construct this mine in a safe and profitable manner so that no mistakes are made.

There’s more upside at Telfer for us shareholders in the next 18 months, next March could see a huge increase in a resource estimate and then in June could see a big reserve MRE.

These are asset increases a huge bonus for Ggp. Havieron on its own couldn’t produce these sort of increases for some years to come.

These are the ore bodies they want the results on:-

Vertical stockwork corridor

Eastern reefs

West Dome Deeps

West Dome open pit cut back

Main Dome open pit cut back

Camp Dome

South east mining zone

I don’t know if all these will be included or not but they could all be asset lifters.

2.8mt per year from Havieron is only about 3 months processing at Telfer for one train.

They have a chance to supplement that ore for many years to come using both trains from the areas I mentioned above.

The pressure is on to announce reserves at Telfer, let the management do their thing and take Havieron safely through to production in a responsible manner.

I have a list of questions one of the main ones :-

Are Ggp actually going to build those 3 new evaporation ponds?

The rhetoric has confused everyone.

What we didn’t know until a recent interview that the existing ponds overflowed after abnormal heavy rains and contaminated ground resulted. How much is contaminated we haven’t been informed but there’s a big swathe of land SE of the Boxcut looks to have been flooded from satellite images.

The temporary Turkeys nest pond where all underground water first enters has been removed and some ground surrounding it removed.

It looks as though they will have to build them from that event, but how many as we’ve been told there are enough liners on site to construct 2 of them.

If so contractors will need to be appointed and maybe more liners.

The aquifers can’t be drained until these ponds are completed.

We’ve been told that the aquifer depressurisation is down the list of the critical path:-

The evaporation ponds

Access road with electric and water main infrastructure

The deep vent holes

Refrigeration Plant and infrastructure

Contracts for Decline construction and Mining.

Depressurisation

Paste plant

Construct Decline

Although it seems a laughing matter they do take environmental issues seriously, two things to note the NE corner of the Havieron licence site is a no go area due the Bilby burrows and the access road design was dog legged around another burrow.

The mine plan is initially being around not allowing the mine to break through the cover leaving the ground level undisturbed due sensitive environmental issues such as the night parrot.

Only primary crushing which will be in the transportation package (or it was)

I’ve seen this electric road train before, the loading specifications are not published but 330 tons looks like the loaded vehicle weight and not the ore weight.

If you compare to a Kenworth C510 which is bigger with 4 trailers that can only carry 150-175 tons but is roughly 300 ton overall loaded.

2.8mt would take 23 of these road train trips everyday if they carry 330 tons.

It’s still pushing it.

The infrastructure looks costly.

Ggp Canning licences are not far from Copper Hills.

The 2 Targets there are far superior to Copper Hills hopefully one day Ggp will drill these 2 bullseye targets.

According to Landtracker Maps Paterson Resources have lost their big licence SE of their smaller Grace project. The licence has lapsed.

The Grace gold anomaly is very interesting and I believe Goldworm’s favourite in the region.

Grace sits on the SW boundary of Newmonts SE mining licences including Backdoor and Ironclad and of course Ggp’s Pascalle the other side of these.

Grace would fit in nicely with that group 🙂

Paddy said to me that 40 x 40m drill spacing on the West Dome Deeps should produce a reserve MRE. That’s true it should that’s why they fan drill, it produces the confidence of a Kriging estimation on that ore body that a reserve needs. This should be announced in the June announcement.

The 4 previous vertical drills could only produce an inferred resource if possible I haven’t seen one on the West Dome Deeps, so the bottom section of this orebody needs to wait for further fan drilling.

The reserves will only be for the top section, the inferred resource could be announced in March.

According to Landtracker maps Newcrest Mining have gained the Teach block.

This means we will be getting that licence back again after compulsory surrendering.

The other block surrendered next to Apollo was also applied for by Newcrest, hopefully we will get that back .

Nowhere else matters at the moment bar the VSC and West Dome Deeps.

Reason being Telfer had a MRE resource update last December of 21m ton or there about, 9.6mt will be in a stockpile by 1st Oct, NEM will produce from it. Ggp will takeover probably with 20mt left and are saying this will take 15 months, well that is 2 trains working nearly flat out. That is half one 2026 then there is a further 20mt in other stockpiles not in any MRE resource. That takes us till H1 2027 so that fits in with Havieron ore 2027 but that’s around 6 months stockpiling around 540,000 tons only 2 weeks processing.

They need to supplement this from especially the VSC and the Main Dome open pit new cut back and the West Dome new cut back.

The VSC has a figure of 1.3moz so is significant and could easily be 10 years Mine Life there.

You can probably see now why the Havieron ore is now 2027, it will ramp up to full production of 2.8m oz by 2029 and beyond.

The bulk handling ideas need or will become more prevalent as the production ramps up.

I really like the idea of this railveyor looks very promising, just google it and see what you can find.

Paddy’s post yesterday really is referring to 2028 and beyond but I believe trucking at that rate is difficult and needs that railveyor or conveyor.

3 bed trucks carry around 120 tons

4 bed around 150-175 tons

Divide those into 2.8mt and you will see what I’m getting at.

Exciting times.

The drills are and have been drilling, there are hundreds perhaps thousands of metres that could be reported to the market at the moment.

At Telfer the VSC has already been fan drilled and the West Dome deeps fan drilling has been happening since April. Masses of info due.

London 3 pads, 2 maybe have been RC drilled to insert collars.

Skylar 5 pads have been spotted on the Bootstrap target.

10,000m are planned on the Rio jv.

6,000m is due on Ernest Giles

I think Ggp are doing very well on the exploration front.

Interesting bit for me was a Telfer resource update in the March quarter then an MRE reserve update in June.

2 major uplifts whether that’s in gold or sp 🚀

Also mentioned Newmont reporting in the US jurisdiction, the Jorc report should be better.

We haven’t had a reserve update since March 22 and the equivalent factor calculations will be uplifted with the current prices. Shaun was mentioning $2500 so I’m assuming this figure could be used.

I’ve been looking through Telfer historical research and found this :-

This shows a cross section of the molten fluid pathways . Where it came up from and how it distributed through the reefs.

It’s the bottom section of interest to Ggp ie the VSC. This zone is classed as potential mineralisation.

Well if you expand it you can see they’ve already fan drilled it and this is where the information of it has come from.

1.3moz from a central medium grade core surrounded by low grade mineralisation, down to 1500m below ground level.

That’s the deepest they’ve drilled it may go deeper.

This zone is below the void of the sub level caving, so the infrastructure to get to it is already there.
