DW came from Sollers Hope, Herefordshire. West of Ledbury in the middle of nowhere. I go near there to a pub called the"Cottage of Content" was in the Telegraph best places to eat but no phone signals and full of yuppies at week ends. Need a map to find it :))

I just had my ancestry results back and apparently I'm 88% English Yorkshire mainly
Very sceptical of it cos I know half of me is West Country through and through mainly Dorset. Was the cost worth it no not really.
One of my ancestors paved the streets of London , John Mowlem from Swanage. He founded John Mowlem construction later taken over by Carillion and lost forever.
Makes interesting reading how he paved London and the stone he quarried from Guernsey

Just read that article and to be fair most investors deep down know that the special divi is unsustainable in the long term. As I've said before I would rather see a lower quarterly divi to give a more sustainable share price.
The Mf article is a fair assumption but it's run by big shorters so I don't take anything in and don't bother normally

The oil is trapped in sand/sandstone layers between alluvial clays and fault lines.
The drilling shouldn't be too difficult.
I think we will hit rock on the deeper drills elsewhere on the SWP.
This pilot well if successful should enable Cerp to plan the number of wells,horizontals and injection wells whether water or CO2 and not necessarily used for production. A production well dia will be larger

Depends if there is any restrictions , piling rigs I've worked with did 15 hour days. When they're drilling through the pay zones I can't see them stopping for H&S reasons
The Ukog drill at Gatwick has just drilled 2,032' in 8 days lined it and grouted and they're under restrictions
The Upper Cruse is 1,000-1200' down so we could be looking at 4-5 days, if they tell us

If the rig workers are doing long shifts and they normally do, news of the Upper Cruse could be only days away.

That reminds me of a series on bbc1 in the 1970s (can't remember the title) about a time traveller who eventually became his own granddad. Anyway he couldn't get over all the old people over 25, from his time there was no one of that age, they had to go through a door and a light came on and zapped them.

From the timeline chart they don't expect to get Saffron on stream till Q2 so plenty of time for flow testing and then start developing the field from Q3(more wells?)
In the meantime further Swp opportunities to start Q1 and Clove.

I was a bit surprised at the length of time they've stated but not knowing what's in the Upper and Middle Cruse layers they may have given themselves extra time to stop and evaluate them before continuing to total depth.
The pilot well will all be about knowledge of what they have before they can plan a larger production well/wells

I'm forever an optimist Britain could lead the world in climate change technologies and as a shareholder I will invest in companies I believe can make a change.
My daughter is head strong and says governments are not doing enough and is against the big oil companies saying they should stop now. Those companies are changing fast and I'm quite surprised at some of their initiatives, they can do far more than governments but technologies are not ready to stop oil
In her house I counted the number of stand by lights that were on and phone/computers connected. They have solar panels but that's no good at night, so if everyone in the country learnt to switch things off we could save the need for a power station. Charging cars at night can only make things worse.

Should all new homes be made to be self sufficient in energy or near as possible as soon as possible is my belief for the future
