I've been looking around for a health company to swap funds into and put a little bit into Ygen yesterday. They've issued news of a contract agreement today to manufacture a test kit with Novacyt of Southampton. Looks promising.
Also a privately owned company in Worcester called Gtech have made a prototype ventilator not requiring electric due to start manufacturing immediately. Reminds me of Dyson just up the road In Droitwich

6 to 7 months is a long time in life and in this crisis a age.
As far as a shortage in housing stock that's gone, there are a vast amount of empty dwellings vacated by students that landlords need to fill
As 6 to 7 months is concerned that's a longtime with no rent coming in

They're not a vaccine they are a drug to cure the Corona virus if you have it.
A vaccine may take 18 months but hopefully a lot quicker.
A test to show if you've had it maybe 12 weeks away is the break through Boris was on about, that will allow people to get back to some normality

I'm not selling my Ggp still way in profit with that one. I'm also buying and selling ITM made some money there last week.
My lad says he bought more Tw last week thinks they're cheap but the divi prospects are a problem, he is looking after the finances of a construction firm and their kitchen work has dried up but construction seems ok.
I asked him about the fiscal stimulus last week and he wasn't happy with it cos of no clear information. They have reduced the hours of a lot of workers to 2 days and no one can tell them whether these will be compensated or is it best to make them redundant.
About the loan scheme he wasn't keen on it at all, it's only good for paying higher yielding debt not keeping the lights on, will be a mill stone later on.
Nige a vaccine won't be ready this year and well into next year. They reckon it won't be very effective on the older generations anyway as are immune systems get less effective with age

They've reduced the bank lending to 3.5% but no stimulus yet or help to the people

That's a good question.
I don't believe governments around the world would want the stock markets to close. Market makers/ traders can surely work from home.
Some companies though could be helped by temporary suspension, some others will always do well in a recession.
I think companies linked to China etc will start to recover first.
Some of my stocks have held up fairly well but most are down

Thought I would change the heading but there is light at the end of this dark tunnel.
China is starting to come out of it, people are being allowed outside.
Singapore and Hong Kong seem to be over the worst.
In my opinion we haven't shut down quick enough or hard enough to stop it spreading, we could end up like Italy they are now closing their open spaces.
We went for a walk up the Malvern hills it was packed, people are emptying stores of paint. We need to stop contact with others to get through this quickly.
Only my opinion but Italy had 800 deaths on Friday we don't want that.

What measures would LK be looking at if I was in his shoes
Ask GS how will the UK stimulus packages effect Cerp
i.e. Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, government loans
Can a government loan pay off the Lind fascility
What fiscal measures of T&T government could effect Cerp.
Are sales still possible at these levels

Ask GL is the shutting down of uneconomical wells feasible and safe to do.
What spare storage fascility has Cerp and Heritage.
Is there enough storage to continue testing Saffron
Have the direct workforce enough work to carry on with.
Redundancies if required.
Virus planning

Ask TH about discussions with T&T government and Heritage regarding way forward

Hopefully these measures will be short lived, China is starting to get over it.
Russia and Saudi can't keep this oil war up forever they both will bankrupt themselves

They did do something for the self employed but I couldn't tell you what it is.

Trinidad has just closed it's bars and restaurants with 6 months jail for flouting the law, the central bank has reduced interest rates still over 3%.
Not sure what else they can afford to do but their oil exports have been hit hard

At the last update they said they had 3m in the bank.
I'm not sure what that Government stimulus will do for Cerp except they maybe able to get a cheap loan from them.
The virus hasn't effected their on site operations yet in Trinidad but the fields are isolated anyway. Not sure about Suriname that field is close to the suburbs of the capital

If you had asked me that a few weeks ago I would have said a possibility with Trin but unlikely.
Now with these low prices very doubtful.
I don't know a lot about TXP or Trin I've never wanted to get into more oilers.

If Cerp are successful they will need the help of a farm in but in this crisis that will be a long way off.
I can't see Innis being sold either now maybe the continual relationship with PRD but only with higher oil rates.
Russia needs an oil price of $47.5 they are not going to be able to continue for much longer at these low rates and Saudi needs $45 to fund their budget requirements
Who knows though how long the slump in demand will be

Well we've had some news this morning good or bad they've issued news and their still testing the Lower Cruse which is good in my view.

I saw that as a fairly good update on what is happening with the virus in Trinidad.
The situation changes rapidly with this virus but at least their saying the supply chain is under control at the moment.

What others here haven't seen in that Rns is that they are still testing the Lower Cruse. That tells me it's not a disaster as some have been spouting on here recently "their still testing".
I will post my email later when I get on computer.
I've read that post by Chesh about the Russia and Saudi very interesting that supply war can't last worth a read.
There was another post I read yesterday somewhere, on Australia testing approved hiv drug on some Chinese patients that has worked
