The FS is part of the approval process , I think you will find the environmental assessment has already been submitted.
Not knowing the final mining plan for the SE crescent until the FS will mean the approvals for this will be afterwards.
The Decline has been approved as an exploration Decline and has its own capex quoted within the infrastructure spend in the brokers assessment of $387m of $112m

My friend sent me a post today that I can’t put here as it was very enthusing with optimism, his mining mind running wild.
Put a smile on my face I can tell you.
From what he said previously there will be 2 types of ore coming out
Development ore
Production ore
Q2 23 he is expecting Development ore , that is the ore coming out from the access ways , shafts and the stoping tunnels. Means a lot of country rock to start with progressing to ore before the stopes are blasted and production can commence.
Still a way to go before we see any size of production.
With the Decline nearing the rock structure, accelerating the Decline will make us all feel better.
I can see where the opportunities are to bring in extra machines from the mining plan to further increase production.
At the moment with only one face open the jumbo is idle during part of the shift so it could definitely cope with 2 faces. Bringing in another jumbo 4 faces could be coped with.
Exponential acceleration will occur especially when the stope faces are open and the Decline continues downwards.
Patience, patience a once in our lifetime situation for us all. The danger of selling is it spiking and it’s likely too

That was a fantastic interview, GH enthusiasm was jumping out at you.

The other side of the Dyke has much grades of gold and copper in HAD005, he said 8.5% head grade but it hit that 4 x and a 12%, also gold over 200g/t.
If that doesn’t get people excited I don’t know what will.
That’s what they are heading towards, very early high grade rewards

Tend to put other minerals to one side when they talk about that Kriging boundaries are not economic for other minerals but most will not be lost, probably just hidden within NCM reporting procedures.
Silver and gold will both end up in the Dore bars produced at Telfer and sent on to the Perth mint for refining.
Anything else will go off within the copper concentrate.
I doubt they will process every mineral from that concentrate but should be a lot of credits coming back from the processors.
Bismuth content is still an unknown factor for us, which will effect the processing procedures, they were talking about using a magnetic separator and mixing of ore. I would have thought they will get the experience to minimise any disruption it may cause.
Higher than a certain % will be a big debit from the processors.
Silver 211g/t , 12% lead ,zinc and dare I say cobalt :))

10% copper near the top
This is Chalcopyrites and maybe some bornite.
This indicates to me the specific gravity at this point is higher 4.1 for the Chalcopyrites and 5+ for the bornite.
This means the size of 1 ton is smaller so there will be more tonnage coming out of that stope.

I see some folks just refuse to get how the capex acquisition allocation and expenditure works ie in/as 3 phases.

1) NO product. Capital spend raised from market.
2) product produced but insufficient to produce enough revenue to cover production costs and all capex.
3) production sufficient to provide for all production costs and planned capex.

I have been banging on how quickly we can get our machines onto very high grade ore.

That is because as soon as our decline reaches the top of the ore body, to develope our stopes for production we have to cut access tunnels into the ore body so as to create access to our production stopes.
So a little ore will reach surface shortly after the top of ore body is reach by the decline.

As you have seen from the plans released there will be many 'tunnels' (xcuts and sill drives) in the ore body to prepare for production. So the initial trickle will increase gradually until we enter stopes and production ore joins the development ore.

Cash from the sale of gold from development ore will thus begin as a trickle from shortly after we reach the top of the ore body and will be on an increasing trajectory.
Our share of This cash will be available to meet capital costs as we build.

Of course there will be other development in country rock (waste) going on at the same time and the decline continues to progress in country rock.

So capex requirement significantly effected by arrival of development ore which is distinct from the production ore from stopes, due in first half 2024.

At least I understand what’s happening far far better than you do .
$3,098 to produce an ounce of gold who in their right mind would believe anything you say.
The trouble is you don’t listen, you have not grasped what’s happening.
For instance you banged on about the grades reducing by 50% but you never explained that 4.57g/t was the average grade for just the sulphides for the whole SE crescent.
3.7g/t is mixed with the breccia .

Now if you were a competent mathematician you would know to get an average of 4.57g/t you have to have higher grades and lower grades than 4.57.

First ore will be going through a pocket of very high grade material 64g/t 11g/t
You cannot fathom this can you High grade means less ore .

I can see you are getting frustrated by slinging insults at me, carry on I’m not bothered by them.

I asked my mining friend about waste
“Yes, Bulk Mining is quite indiscriminate wrt to the rock which is broken in the general ore body ie ALL OF IT.
However selection and control begins when they install the under cut development. They will have a plan from rock mechanics as to how the ground will cave progressively and so will position their initiating blasting schedule to fill draw points accordingly. Initially the caving may behave well and stay close to the limits of the ore body (encouraged by their initiation drill pattern.
But the bulk of the caving can be expected to occur within the ore body as a vertical funnel above the draw points.

The country rock side walls will eventually also slough and cave in as well eventually arriving at the peripheral draw points which will be samples on a regular basis to establish when this occurs and so eventually be left undrawn. (When the Bulk Cave reach maturity we can expect). The collapse of the ore body into the central part of the Cave will inhibit side wall collapse.

Eventually sidewall countryrock will become a problem and impinge on more and more of the drawpoints as the cave moves into maturity.

So waste as from sidewall collapse will be left undrawn in the drawpoints. Unless they believe there is ore to be freed by pulling the sidewall waste which will be loaded, trammed, extracted and dumped on the waste TIP.

"Waste" ? from within the ore body is more complex.

If there is zero gold they will want to be aware of this and treat it like sidewall country rock material. If it goes into the ore stream to mill it will adsorb gold and report to slimes with gold it didn't start out with. They will be aware of a substantial lump of this being due to arrive and so will sample and test for it (daily?) at the draw points.
When they detect it they will load, tram and tip it to the waste dump avoiding it going to mill. (or use to backfill ?).

But how will they deal with the ore. This is where Bulk Mining works so well.
The cut off grade will be fixed in terms of the fixed and variable costs of the mine.
Anything with enough gold to pay variable costs is treasure.
Anything with low grade only sufficient to cover fixed costs is marginally economic.
Since all the capex is done we may as well mill it to get the gold to help cover some fixed costs. So that goes to mill.
Bear in mind these calculations always allow for the residual gold which isn't extracted and must go to slimes.
Grade control is a hugely important part of the process. It is entirely possible they will sample some draw points daily but certainly weekly.
They will also "seed" the ore body and collect them thus giving indications as to which part of the ore body is passing and where. Some control can be exerted by regulating the amount of draw from which draw points and this will be important wrt achieving "headgrade". Very important. All back to sampling the drawpoints.
So waste goes to waste dumps

Think you need to revisit your capex costs.
$1.5bn was for the whole mine.
That was before stoping arrived for the whole SE crescent.
2mtpa was forecasted to be $387m capex which included $112m for infrastructure and Decline.
3mtpa went up to $457m

These costs only go down to around 750m of ore.
Ggp mining plan on 10th March goes down to 850m
Ggp mining plan 21st March goes down to 950m

That’s nearly a 25% increase in depth but at these extra depths there are no Eastern and Northern fronts so each level capex will be lower.
Extra capex will be around $100m.

This mining plan is likely to go down to 1300m on information we have at the moment maybe another $200m capex.

I have my suspicions they will stope the central high grade but that is not certain at this stage.

Below the 750m level the Dyke has inclined away from the oval leaving the full ovoid to be bulk mined.

The bulk mine will be down to 1300m as at the info we have at this moment in time.

The Decline will be already there, conveyor declines will be needed and may have started.

Your saying only half of the ore will be removed at the moment they’re quoting 96% ore extraction I don’t understand where your 50% comes in.
They will put another train in at Telfer if necessary but I think you will find they can handle 23m pa.
Cadia has just increased to 35m I believe.

I am hoping a reasonable depth at Havieron maybe 1900m of ore depth

Capex of $1.5bn for whole mine should be achievable for 1300m of ore
