Listening to him in London it certainly isn’t in his plans at the moment to move to the main market, costs are a huge obstacle.
He also said something about if an opportunity came along he would look at it. It won’t be with funds though at the moment more like issuing shares

The geology between Panorama and Ernest Giles is very similar apart from I think the basalt, I can’t remember if it’s in Ernest Giles maybe.
The gold at Panorama is a paleo glacial deposit running off the basalt so it’s like stream sediments and that’s possibly the same as for the cobalt , then earth movements have created folds and synclines .
The source of the cobalt is not understood but they’ve had 2 or 3 years to study that.
I think both licences will be gold, nickel and cobalt with low copper.
I personally would like them to start on something small producing a modest quantity of gold to build up cash reserves. Other than Havieron.
Blackhills looks to be the obvious one for that but we only have 25% of that.
Warrantina to me is the next closest to produce something. It’s very similar situation to Alba resources at Dolgellau in Wales, start small with a small processing plant, subcontract the mining out.
Derby North could be where the 1m oz reserves are, looks very promising but would have work needed to clean up the old workings. Good grades near surface, a big footprint and looks very promising underneath and still open.
Progressive funding could open up the other areas on the licence.
I don’t believe we have anything else so close to production, I hope they don’t sell it off.
All the infrastructure is there, tarmac roads, electric, water, labour force. Plus the Tasmanian government is progressively wanting more from its mine portfolio.

Diamond Drilling at Derby North Prospect
Greatland has commenced a diamond core drilling programme at the Derby North prospect within the Warrentinna project. Greatland has previously conducted RC drilling at the prospect, but this is the first time the Company has undertaken a diamond drilling programme. Greatland plans to ‘twin’ two historic RC drill holes with two diamond holes, each to a depth of approximately 125m (two holes for 250m). It is expected that the drill core and associated data collected will greatly improve the Company’s understanding of the mineralised system, including rock type identification, lithological variations, and potential structural controls. The drilling will also validate previous gold intercepts in nearby RC drill holes.
Continuous XRF scanning, structural data capture, and ultra-high resolution photography will be undertaken on all drill core along with a suite of multi-element geochemistry to highlight chemical signatures associated with gold mineralisation and alteration. An evaluation of results will be completed to assess the project’s potential, referencing Orogenic-type gold occurrences in central Victoria which include the Fosterville and Bendigo gold deposits.

A total of 41 RC drills have been undertaken by Ggp and previously by Herald Resources down to about 100m.
Ggp carried out 3 Diamond drills results in Feb 2020.

There has been no more news since then with the company concentrating on Havieron, and a divestment in this licence has been pursued.
With a new CEO the company is reviewing its strategy but a joint venture is the likely outcome.

June 2017
A systematic stream sediment sampling programme was completed over the broader Pilbara Region by Anglo American Corporation in the early 1970s. Samples were collected at a nominal 2km spacing and results from these samples have outlined a large cluster of high cobalt in streams. Stream sediments samples consistently returned over 50ppm cobalt, peaking at over 70ppm cobalt (against a background of less than 5ppm cobalt). The area covered by the anomalous cobalt is potentially the largest coherent cobalt in streams anomaly in Western Australia being more than 25 kilometres long and up to 10km wide covering an area of approximately 200 square kilometres. Greatland's licence applications cover the bulk of the cobalt anomaly.

Geology of the area is predominantly greenstone and granite of the Archean Pilbara Craton in northern Western Australia. The definitive source of the cobalt is not yet known however it is likely to be localised in folding and faulting of the bedrock sequences; similar to other known styles of mineralisation in Archean greenstones elsewhere in the Pilbara displaying drill intercepts with high cobalt of up to 0.99%.

Historically the Pilbara Region is recognised for its gold and base metal mineralisation but apart from the work by Anglo American in the early 1970s very little subsequent exploration work has been carried out within the Panorama project area leaving the cobalt mineralisation untested. The large area of the cobalt in streams anomaly suggests a significant mineralising event has occurred.

Warrantina
The tenement encompasses two historic gold fields, Forester and Warrentinna. Both fields produced high grade gold deposits in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These historic high grade quarts lodes were mined both at surface and underground, such as the Golden Mara mine which produced 3,368oz at an average of 1 oz/tonne.
Prior to Greatland carrying out historic work on the field, the surrounding areas had lacked significant modern exploration efforts.

Forester is in the north of the licence containing around a dozen historical mines.
Warrantina is in the south and contains 3 areas Renown, Derby North and Golden Mara in the southern end.

Ahead of drilling, Greatland carried out consistent geological mapping, soil sampling, rock chip sampling, primarily in the two targets areas of Forester and Warrentinna.
Such results include:
Soil sampling returned highs of 666.5ppb and 1,308ppb Au.
Rock chip samples returned highs of 44.6g/t, and 464g/t Au.
Confirming the historic reports of the high-grade nature of mineralisation in the area.
The sampling extrapolates mineralised strike lengths of up to 6km in both areas with other areas of the tenement yet to be fully evaluated.

The company has drilled over 3,750m to date with over 3,500m of historical drill data also obtained for analysis.

When you look at NCM quarterly accounts there not using an average AISC on their target zones they’re using an average for those 3 months in question and the average the quarters.
Looks like when I was being criticised for not using the average AISC value for the SE crescent those posters look like they will have to change their stance.

I always lose on horses so I never bother but a friend of ours sets the prices on the Tote, he reckons horses run in 2 styles and the one nearly always beats the other one.
Whether you believe me or not makes no difference to me, but my friend who is terminally ill dismissed it out of hand after betting horses for 65 years( never won much I might add).
That guy is still watching horses all day on the computer and setting prices

Fortesque are in collaboration with E.on with a scheme to provide Germany with 30% of it’s gas needs from renewable hydrogen .

“Together with Rio and with the support of future partners, we will ensure that we can make a valuable product in Queensland and export it to a world hungry for clean manufacturing and sustainable materials.”

Shaun Day has stated he expects hydrogen to play a roll in the energy mix required at Havieron.

I would expect a greater use of hydrogen at Ernest Giles if/when production starts due to its isolated position

Boyne Smelters Limited (BSL) has been operating since 1982 and is Australia’s second largest aluminium smelter. The operation is located at Boyne Island in Central Queensland and activities include manufacturing carbon anodes in the carbon plant, aluminium production (smelting) in reduction lines, and casting of molten metal into aluminium products ready to ship. The smelter is adjacent to, and connected via a conveyor belt, to the Queensland Alumina Limited Refinery for the supply of alumina.

BSL is a joint venture between Rio Tinto (59.39%), YKK Aluminium (9.50%), UACJ Australia (9.29%), Southern Cross Aluminium (7.71%), Ryowa Development II (6.46%), Ryowa Development (5.19%) and Sumitomo Chemical (2.46%).

The Palaszczuk Government and Rio Tinto have signed a statement of cooperation to seize the opportunities presented by clean energy and make Central Queensland an industrial and renewable energy powerhouse.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said supporting investment in renewables and hydrogen was part of Queensland’s plan for economic recovery from COVID-19.

“This week we’ve announced the world’s largest hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing plant will be built in Central Queensland,” the Premier said.

“Today we’re signing a statement of cooperation with Rio Tinto to ensure Central Queensland can take advantage of our natural energy advantage and drive employment and economic outcomes from investment in renewable energy projects.

“By backing Queensland to become a renewable energy and hydrogen superpower we will create and sustain jobs long into the future.”

Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development Steven Miles said the government would work with industry to find ways to build more renewable energy faster.

The first is showing the location plan with it’s proximity to Laverton and the roads/tracks heading NE through and passed Ernest Giles Range.
It’s showing all the licences we have plus the applied for ones.
The second and third plans do not show the applied for licences.
These 100% owned licences include Meadows where a lot of Ggp wildcat drills have occurred we may have 1m camp find here but the Newmont surveys indicated that the strike length stretched 6km further to the NW where there were some good MMI indicators.
The main areas of interest though are to the North in the applied for licences around Wishbone in the NW and also around Empress in the NW , I believe this is where the 5m + oz are located.

The 2 Westwood licences in the east are the subject of my earlier posts Ernest Giles East. Where a lot of surveys have been carried out.
One other licence in the centre was also relinquished Carnegie a nickel target, I hope we get that back.

In June 2017, a comprehensive ground gravity survey was completed over parts of the Western licences at a station spacing of 1,600m x 200m. Data was collected over the Empress, Wishbone and greater Meadows area. The ground gravity data integrated with airborne magnetics has highlighted several additional targets conducive to gold mineralisation at each of the areas surveyed.

During September 2017 Greatland completed its initial work over the Eastern block. The Eastern block, now covering 800 square kilometres, represents an extension of the gold prospective Ernest Giles greenstone sequences. Work included broad spaced ground gravity and first pass MMI sampling. Gravity work was completed on a station spacing of 1,600m x 200m while MMI samples were collected on 3,200m x 400m centres.

MMI results outlined multiple gold anomalies over approximately 60km of strike. Many anomalies present as clusters of elevated responses over several adjoining east-west sample traverses with peak responses up to 1.3ppb gold (against a background of 0.0-0.1ppb). Several anomalies exhibit a strike length in excess of 9km and up to 3km wide. Ground gravity and detailed airborne magnetics confirms the MMI anomalies lie subparallel to the regional geological strike or within cross cutting structures displaying demagnetisation of bedrock geology.

Several MMI anomalies at Ernest Giles East lie adjacent to the boundary of existing licence application (E38/3235 Westwood North) and an additional licence (E38/3277 Empress Springs) has been applied for to secure the prospective area outlined by the elevated MMI response and strengthen the Company’s strategic land position. The new licence application covers approximately 200 square kilometres which increases the total area of the project to more than 2,000 square kilometres.

Greatland’s recent successful efforts at Ernest Giles East have enhanced the potential of the Ernest Giles project to host several, very large, mineralised systems.

In May 2017, Greatland entered into an agreement with Newmont Exploration Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE:NEM) over the Ernest Giles project.

Overview of Ernest Giles Project

The Ernest Giles project is located in central Western Australia, covering an area of more than 2,000 square kilometres that includes over 230km of strike of gold and nickel prospective rocks. The area is covered by desert sands and sediments, making it virtually unexplored. The region is home to several successful exploration discoveries such as Tropicana (AngloGold ASX:AGG), which contains over 7 million ounces, and Yamarna/Gruyere (Gold Road Resources ASX:GOR/Gold Fields Ltd NYSE:GFI), with over 6 million ounces. The Company is targeting large +5m ounce deposits and clusters of several camp-type +1m ounce gold discoveries at Ernest Giles.

Earlier drill programmes by the Company at Ernest Giles intersected gold mineralisation and large alteration systems in wildcat drilling of blind structural targets defined by airborne geophysics. This was considered a major achievement for such a large prospective area with virtually no historical work.

In late 2016, the Company completed a comprehensive broad spaced Reverse Circulation “RC” drilling programme at Meadows in the south-east of the project area which tested several large areas based on work completed by the Company and earlier work by Western Mining Corporation. This RC drill programme comprised 23 holes for 5,581m. Holes were drilled on a broad spaced grid pattern of 1,600m x 800m.

Mineralisation was observed in 13 of the 23 holes and several holes exhibited gold anomalous zones over tens of metres, peaking at 0.78g/t gold with mineralisation at end of hole. Two large zones of mineralisation were identified; Western 6km x 1.5km and Eastern 2km x 1.5km. Additional 1m sampling of several intercepts was undertaken to confirm preliminary results and better define mineralisation with many significant gold results returned up to 2g/t. Results confirmed mineralisation is present over a large area at Meadows and suggest that Greatland has discovered a new gold province in this largely unexplored region.

In late 2014, the Company completed a restricted programme of MMI surface geochemistry over several target areas which were outlined from interpretation of detailed aeromagnetics. Sample spacing was at a nominal 800m x 200m. Results from this sampling were positive over the Meadows area (peaking at 68ppb gold), and at the Empress area. At Empress many samples returned +5ppb gold, which is quite high for MMI results, plus several above 40ppb gold peaking at 338ppb gold at the eastern extremity of three consecutive sample lines potentially outlining a significant anomaly 3km long by 1km wide which remains open to the east.

In May 2017, a detailed airborne survey was acquired over the northern sequences and the newly acquired Ernest Giles East block which includes a 600 square kilometres area covering an 80km long north-south trending sequence of rocks that represents a continuation of the gold prospective greenstone sequence.
