Decline progress16 Oct 2022 18:21
This is my calculations for where I think the Decline has got up to as of the 8th Oct
“Decline advance upto 21st July did 111m averaging 3.25m per day
Period from then to 31st Aug averaged 4.75m per day
Start at 3.25 to average 4.75 would need 6.25 per day at 31st Aug.
Till 8th Oct at 6.25 x 38 days = 237.5m + 685m = 922.5m
2,600m total - 922.5m = 1,677.5m divided 6.25m = 268.4 days
Finish 30th June
6.25m could be the low figure for the period, I’m expecting 8m per day
8m per day would finish end April”
Now I’ve been told it was a bit further on that, making it about 8.25m per day which could be about or above its max.
This would be a finish date of mid April.
This is only for the exploration phase of the Decline and another 900m of ancillary access drives and shafts are on top of the 2,600m Decline metres.
In the FS a new mining plan will identify more stoping accesses and lower Decline as Production infrastructure.
This needs to be approved by the government before a Decision to Mine can go ahead, I think that may happen with NCM results late January in my opinion.
The production works may take a few more months after the Exploration Decline is completed to get down to the first layer of stoping. That’s about 70m down into the ore , some 500m extra Decline needed.
Evidence of how fast the Decline is going will happen when 4 deep ventilation shafts are started, the satellite should pick that up.
Underground ventilation shafts between the first 2 rings may have already started, these will be needed quickly to ventilate the continual works as they progress.
Look at the mining plan pics here :-
