Drill result20 Apr 2023 17:42
This drill result has probably opened up more questions than answers.
We always knew it was going to be deep from what Callum mentioned, although he was expecting it could be shallower.
I can tell you he sounds excited by it.
The grades are what I was hoping/expecting to be around.
The steepness of the drill looks as though it put limitations on the length and this prevented a longer intercept being recorded.
From the section they produced, the drill looks to have followed the strata vertically in the fold until it couldn’t go any further.
Questions for me is the gold cluster in the top of the fold or is it throughout the strata? it’s definitely in veins.
Is it a sill or is it a granotoid from below?
We know it’s in a bullseye feature and the ground survey results are very similar to Havieron. The consultants are/we’re expecting a 500m oval cylinder similar again to Havieron.
An excellent drill result for a very deep drill, next steps to do a downhole survey and produce new modelling to identify conductors for future drilling, we’re not quite on target and those anomalous other minerals will vector towards a possible source.
That high grade gold has come from somewhere.
In my opinion being a bullseye feature probably from underneath.
For all those that think this is too deep, well it may be for a Decline but not a hoist/shaft. Some South African mines are very deep in comparison by shaft.
The track from Punmu to Telfer runs through Rudall and crosses the new road from Telfer to Scally which has caused planning issues. The ore is not going to go to Havieron, too many sand dunes to cross, new highway to build.
