Excellent update, great to have supportive quotes from CMEC and GE, as well as positive endorsement from government. Very happy that Hanno has been allowed to publish such a positive RNS making it as clear as we could hope that everything is on track and that we may be within a very few days of an agreed document ready for signing.

We have waited a very long time for a RNS confirming the JDA - I am as confident as I can be that we will get it in the next two days and will then look forward to the tariff proposal and financial closure after that.

Interesting comments by Prsident Xi at the Forum - he emphasised more than once that he wants to see Chinese companies working on co-developments with others rather than being seen to dictate to them. The partnership of CMEC with GE and little NCCL is self-evidently an excellent example of this kind of cooperation.President Xi Jinping did not pledge fresh capital to fund China’s ambitious “Belt and Road Initiative” and focused instead on “co-development” as he delivered a keynote speech at the second Belt and Road Forum in Beijing on Friday.The belt and road is not an exclusive club,” he said, noting the project would not only serve the interests of China, but also enhance multilateralism.“It aims to enhance the connectivity and practical cooperation [of the participating countries] … delivering a win-win outcome and common development,” Xi said, vowing to fight against protectionism.

Three years and counting - it has been some journey and it is good to be certain that we are only a few days at most away from a major milestone. Coconocchio also posted here yesterday that there is only one Mozambiquan provincial Governor in the offiicial delegation and that just happens to be the Governor of Tete, which is of course where the NCCL mine and power-station project is being developed. Coincidence?

President Xi, President of Mozambique, Chairman of MIREME, CMEC, GE, Hanno and colleagues all in Beijing for second Belt and Road Forum this week. The Forum is designed among other things to promote and develop infrastructure projects involving cooperation between China and 37 developing countries, including Mozambique. This could be a game-changing week for NCCL, perhaps an RNS confirming the JDA before Friday when President Xi will be summarising the outcomes agreed at the Forum at the final plenary of the heads of delegations. Stars aligning?

Chinese President Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech at the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) to be held from April 25 to 27 in Beijing, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced Friday.

Leaders including heads of state and government from 37 countries will attend the forum's roundtable summit, Wang told a press briefing.

Wang said 12 thematic forums and a CEO conference would be held on April 25, the opening ceremony and a high-level meeting on April 26, and the leaders' roundtable on April 27.

Xi will attend the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech. He will also chair the leaders' roundtable and brief media from home and abroad about the outcomes after the roundtable, Wang said, adding that Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan will also hold a welcoming banquet for the leaders and representatives.

According to Wang, the 37 countries are Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The secretary-general of the United Nations and the managing director of the International Monetary Fund will attend the forum, Wang said, adding that senior representatives of France, Germany, Britain, Spain, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the European Union will also participate.

Noting that the BRF is the top-level platform for international cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, Wang said the conference next week would be of landmark significance.

The theme of the second BRF is "Belt and Road Cooperation, Shaping a Brighter Shared Future." Wang said the main purpose is to promote the high-quality development of Belt and Road cooperation, which is the common aspiration of countries participating in the initiative.

Speaking highly of the fruitful results yielded since the initiative was launched in 2013, Wang said the second BRF was greatly welcomed worldwide with some 5,000 participants from more than 150 countries and 90 international organizations having confirmed their attendance, covering areas from five continents and different walks of life such as government, civil society, business and academia.

According to Wang, this year's forum will have 12 thematic forums, twice of that during the first forum in 2017, and the CEO conference will be held for the first time. A joint communique will be released after the leaders' roundtable and other consensus reached.

NCCL well-funded, advanced project, in government power development plan, improved tariff proposal over earlier accepted one, major partners, AFC et al backing, now diversified into renewables, stable management, imminent JDA, renewed buying pressure - what's not to like?

Pattern of trades this morning reflects confidence and continuing stake-building, mostly at fairly low level as so many LTHS seem by their comments to be fully-invested. Looking forward to hearing Hanno's take on Friday's RNS, he and his colleagues seem to have been very smart to have announced the diversification into solar power at a time when most investors were unlikely to sell, as shown by the many buys on Friday after the inevitable initial drop to the placing price.

I for one am not surprised that the initial mark down to the placing price has not been sustained and that the price is gradually moving forward again. Everything about this morning's RNS seems to me to be positive for NCCL going forward - diversification into renewable energy in a market which is almost untapped makes perfect sense as a complementary technology to coal. There was additionally no need for the RNS to state that the company remains on track for the JDA RNS we are awaiting which in my view is yet another hint, as though we needed one, that everything is on track. A very good day and perhaps continuing upside into the weekend.

Having now skim-read the full RNS I am really impressed by how well this arrangement fits in with the existing project in all sorts of ways. Two directors, including Michael Haworth, have bought in, there is talk of first-mover advantage, an income stream from Q4, minimal capex requirement, veto for NCCL on individual projects but also right of first refusal, all management in the hands of SpaceX so no distractions and in general a very real and low-cost opportunity to make a significant impact on the provision of electricity across Africa which reflects very well on NCCL's commitment. It is also good to note that the income form this new arrangement will help to reduce the amount of capital which will be required by NCCL in the lead up to the Tete project beginning to generate power (and income) in 2023. Really pleased.

I have no idea if this RNS will have a short-term effect on the shareprice but as an investor I am very pleased to read of the investment in renewables to complement the company's commitment to their main project. It suggests a company with a long-term growth plan rather than one only interested in the development at Tête. I was one among several who suggested that a tie up with his brother Justin's company was a possibility once Hanno confirmed his interest in renewables in his most recent interview. The RNS announcing the JDA will be the main driver of the share price this month but now there is another string to the NCCL bow which is good to see in my view.

Hi, I was invested here for years but moved on - really pleased to see that the company might be reaching the stage when the value of its work will be realised in a practical manner to the benefit of patients first but also to that of patient investors. I hope Fredd1eboy is still around as it was his enthusiasm which helped to keep me on board. Good luck to all the LTHs!

Reflecting on a really promising week for NCCL and its investors it is perhaps worth noting that we are still comparatively under the radar based on the number of daily trades, mentions in the wider media etc. The price is moving up in a fairly stealthy way as anticipation grows but our c25% uplift in the past three days has happened without being triggered by an 'exciting' piece of news or a sudden flurry of interest. I am looking forward to the day or days when NCCL's name goes viral and much larger numbers suddenly realise that a £20 million company is closing in on confirming a £1 billion project with two very major international companies in GE and CMEC at their side and about to become their official partners. Some story and some achievement!

I have managed to B&B over 500,000 shares in a couple of family ISAs during this tax year, taking advantage of the sub 5p price at the start of the year. Will B&B more on April 6 before the price hopefully gets too far ahead. Next week looking good, I am still hoping for 10p pre RNS but could even be higher, although this is AIM and nothing is guaranteed.
