If you took a six month view of both shares and rounded off the peaks and troughs, I would say Tullow has increased by 30% and Harbour Energy has increased by 5%. However, Harbour Energy has been the dog of a share between the two. Anyone here like to hazard a guess to why?

Future Share Price will depend on the economy holding up clearly but what about the buyback?
Currently approximately bought 5% of the total allowed of £2B.
Let’s say Lloyds is worth £34B (yes currently £30.5B) this means cancellation of approximately 6% of the shares. Therefore, so an extra 6% of the next dividend to the remaining investors of perhaps an additional £200M.
I suppose it’s not as cut and dried as above but prospects look pretty good.

Folks want ready cash but in a complete meltdown cash will also be useless.
Ultimately, don’t know what will happen means volatility and head scratching.

If the World goes bang all shares will be worthless, so, as long as it does not this represents a buying opportunity. Oil price will now stay up for at least a year whatever happens and this will reduce Tullow debt massively.

HopelessClot has been banging the war drum for ages in diatribe news reel for many months and knocking the share (from 350 pence) saying it’s going down and stating a SELL.

The war has come and the shares are UP.

This actually gives me no pleasure (it is a complete travesty and unnecessary loss of human life on both sides) as I believe the shares were a buy on fundamentals alone but just shows that this person’s advice is to be avoided. Always DYOH, these BB’s can give information on the company itself but sometimes you have to filter these idiots. I have!
